Chapter 22 It was my mistake

Me and Dale arrive at Raul's lodge.

Dale turns off his headlights, stopping the truck.

We meet with Raul after coming back to our apartment filled with bullet holes.

The walls were painted in blood. I felt my son's despair at that moment.

I'm going to kill Ohme.

All of them, if it cannot be helped.

I won't even consider hesitating.

With the help from my brother's pack and Raul's tribe.

We can get my family back safely.

Dale turns off the truck's engine.

Logan stands in front of the vehicle, with his arms folded.

I prepared to get out of the truck.

Dale stops me grabbing my forearm.

"You don't have to go, Nathan, I can go by myself," Dale says.

"No they have to know, I have to say it." I said, getting out of the truck.

"Nate, what are you doing here?" Logan asks. Shocked, he unfolded his arms and he walked towards me.

"It's urgent. I need your help, Sabrina and Aiden are gone." I said, embracing Logan. He patted my shoulder.

"We will figure this out together, but you know we need to confront Raul," Logan says.

"I know that's why we are here, to ask for their help as well," Dale says, stepping out.

"We need all the manpower we can get, it's going to be a brutal fight. Logan, we need your pack." I said.

Logan nods.

"Let's talk to Morgan, we need him or else this will be suicide." Dale says.

"You're right Dale, we need his help, Logan," I said.

All three of us walked toward the lodge.

"Any clues left behind, anything we can follow up on?" Logan asks.

"We will discuss all of that with Morgan, Logan, I promise you" Dale says.

Logan sighed, walking up to the front door.

Logan knocks. The door opens moments after the knock.

"They're here!" Noah yells.

"They brought someone else too.." Noah noticed me quickly shoving Logan out of the way.

He punched me, knocking off my feet.

"I thought we decided he wasn't allowed here anymore!" Noah yells at me, standing above me to prove his dominance.

"I don't have time for this," I said.

"We need to speak to Morgan," Dale says.

Noah puts his hand out to stop Dale from approaching him to restrain him.

"What are you here for mutt?" Noah asks.

"Your sister is gone, we need Morgan's help." I said, pushing him out of the way.

"What did you just say?" Noah asked, grabbing my shoulder as I walked past him.

Logan punches Noah.

Noah releases his grip on my shoulder.

Logan continues to assault Noah.

Punching Noah in the gut.

"That's enough, Noah, your arrogance knows no bounds. Despite that, I won't sit here and allow you to bully my little brother. Now come in here and let the adults do the talking." Logan says, before walking off.

Dale snickers. I walked into the lodge first.

I feel intense glares from every angle.

I hear them drop their forks and spoons. They were having a feast.

They all sit at three separate tables while Morgan sits at the long middle table near the end.

"Is that you Nathan?" Morgan asks, shocked as he drops his utensil as well.

I nodded, nervously.

Dale walked behind me and walked on my shoulder.

"Take a seat Nathan." Dale says, pointing towards an empty chair at the table.

I sat down slowly.

"I forgot you were coming, I humbly apologize." Morgan says, and Logan walks in, pushing Noah to the ground.

Noah stumbles, shivering, enraged.

"So what brings the three of you here?" Morgan asks, as he looks at Dale.

"We need your help. Sabrina and Aiden have been taken." Dale says.

Morgan looks at Dale, in shock.

While Logan is contemplating everything.

"Ah, that's why you need manpower," Logan says.

"Yes, we need your pack's assistance, we already have a good idea where they may be," Dale says, as Morgan gets out of seat.

"I need time to think," Morgan says as he begins turning his back on us.

"There is no time to think!" I shouted.

I stood up out of my chair.

"Your daughter! My wife is being tortured and possibly killed at the hands of these people," I said.

Morgan continues to walk.

"You fucking mut-" Noah says, being interrupted by me.

"Shut up Noah!" I shouted.

"The apartment we lived in was covered in blood and bullet holes," I said.

Morgan stops walking.

"I wasn't there, I was doing a job for someone. I wasn't there to protect them," I said.

"I'm in danger. I got entangled with the wrong people I was hunting but now. We know where they are and we can hit them. Just give us a chance to present our plan," I said.

Morgan turned around and walked to the table.

"What is your plan for you three?" Morgan asks.

Dale looks at me and Logan.

We all approached the center of the long table. Raul makes room for us.

Dale, pulling out a map from his coat, placed it on the table.

"Someone drew out this map for us, a man with intel on the organization that assaulted Nathan's family." Dale says.

The map displays the court's layout.

Showcasing all of the rooms and wings.

"With that being said, I've already thought of a plan ahead of time. Since we already know where everything is, we split up into two groups. Raul, go into Ohme's wing. Then the Malakai go into Canix's wing," Dale says.

"In other words, it's a search and siege," Logan says.

"No, it's a search and rescue damn." Morgan says, slamming his fist on the table.

"What else do you need?" Morgan asked.

"We need just ten of your men and they need weapons. We are well aware of what the enemy is capable of," Dale says.

Morgan stresses his final words on the matter.

"Noah! Choose nine men to go along with you, help them find my Daughter, rescue her at all costs!" Morgan shouts before leaving.

Noah nods, before sighing.

"Gray, go grab weapons for ten men. To start loading supplies into the van," Noah says.

"Let's go Nathan let's go get. I'll gather my pack." Logan says.

"All of you meet at the edge of Ventden Forest, I'll be waiting. We will carry out the plan tomorrow night!" Dale shouts.

As the noise consumes his voice, everyone grabs and packs their weapons.
