Santa shook his head, "Not quite... It's a bit difficult to explain. Simply put, the Immortal Path involves surviving the Heavenly Tribulation, while the Divine Path requires fulfilling grand vows. Deities of different ranks need to complete vows of varying difficulty.
However, the Immortal Path demands a high level of perfection from oneself. Even the tiniest flaw will be infinitely magnified under the Heavenly Tribulation, ultimately causing a dyke built over a thousand miles to collapse because of a single ant hole.
