*Clack* Clack clack*
"Man, what's that noise"
A drowsy male followed the sounds of the clacking into the living room, where another was trolling away on their keyboard.
"Why are you gaming so late"
"Its actually already 10am in the morning"
The male without lifting his head from the monitor pointed at the well boarded window. The drowsy male walked up and removed the blinds and was bombarded by the rays from the sun.
"Ugh my only weakness"
"The sun?"
"Yes"
The drowsy male walked up to the counter nearby and on it was a coffee machine. With a push of a button he got his freshly brewed coffee ready to go.
He took a quick sip from the overflowing cup, taking enough to keep the coffee within the boundaries of the cup.
He called it intimate imprisonment. He walked all the way to the sofa and took a relaxing position. He then noticed that the sounds have stopped.
"I just noticed the clacking had stopped, what happened?"
The drowsy male asked.
"Oh we're done with the game and are now in the lobby. It was a cool match so I don't know if I should send them a friend request"
"Oh let me see"
The drowsy male got off from his sit and looked into the monitor. He chuckled a bit.
"Why not just send the friend request to the girl in your team? It's obvious that she's the only one you want to send a friend request to"
Said the drowsy male
"What?! No that would be.. I'm just trying to make in game friends"
The Male said nervously.
"No you're worried that they would think you're shallow and would only send a request just because the other is the opposite gender. You're worried that the girl would hate you because you sent her a request just because she's a girl. So if she ever asks you, you can say 'I sent the request to everyone' and keep a sample of dignity. Just know this even if you don't add anyone she wouldn't know and those other guys also wouldn't know you sent the sole girl a request. They are probably doing the same thing now. You're not the only thirsty one, just the only self conscious one"
The nervous male after hearing the others words nervously clicked on the girls profile and sent her a request and only her.
"That's my boy"
The drowsy male said as he walked back into his bedroom. Apparently coffee wasn't cutting it.
...
My name is Yondale Varsanct but people call me Yold. You might think I'm normal but sometime ago I was going to end it all when a stranger came up to me and snapped me out of it. He said in other for him to believe that I've truly reformed, he asked me to move in with him. I've been living with Friday since my college finals, so for about a year now. I wonder why he saved me but Friday never gives up any information about himself.
"Friday, where do you come from?"
"Dallas"
"Oh the one in Texas?!"
Friday looked surprised
"There's such a thing? Actually I'm from (insert place here)"
That's how it normally is, he said he wouldn't lie to me and that's true in his own way.
That morning, according to Friday.
"Friday she accepted, what do I do now?"
Even though he was woken from his sleep, Friday didn't seem irritated at all.
"Ugh, someone is excited this morning. Tell Papa what happened"
"She accepted, what do I do now?"
Friday was surprised
"you getting married boy, how can you not tell Papa of this"
Yold's face twisted in disgust but went back to normal in an instant but that didn't go past Friday's perception.
"Okay okay non of that joke anymore. Tell me what happened after a bit of coffee".
Friday had all the coffee he could down and was now brimming with energy.
"So you're saying you sent a bitch a friend request and she's not already in love with you?"
When ever Friday starts talking like this, he actually isn't being dude to the other person he's just trying to take the pressure off me by discrediting the other person. I might not know much about Fridays past but I know a lot of his present, some of the perks of living with him.
"You don't need to do that, I'm okay"
Friday was surprised but then he relaxed and crossed his legs and his demeanor changed. I call it professor Friday mode.
"So why do you need me? aren't you overthinking something again?"
"No I just want to cover all the holes"
"So you're saying you want to find all the possible questions and answers she would give so you wouldn't be surprised when she says them. Yold, you do know you are chatting and not talking in person, right? You don't need to find an answer instantly, you can just answer when ever you can. That is the point of chatting"
"The faster I do the more interested I seem"
Yold answered meekly.
"sure that might be true but if you answer rubbish then it beats the point"
Friday might have absolutely no dating experience but he has something different and equally important and that's logic. A logic not pushed by emotions is a clear way of getting strangers interested in you, emotions come after you start dating, that's when all this gestures start to matter.
"I'm going in"
"Light speed yold"
Fun fact to know about me, Yold is a name Friday came up with. Like I said it's the name my friend calls me, my only friend.
"exercise time"
Friday said and it was Yold's turn to protest.
"my only weakness"
"Exercise?"
"Yes"
Friday and Yold went to shower and get ready. After they were done and ready to leave Yold shrunk back again in protest.
"Can't we use the gym in the house?"
"Nah, we gotta interact with the outside world"
Yold signed in protest.
"But I don't want to talk to anyone"
Friday thought for a while.
"Because of your only weakness?"
"Yes, talking to people"
"You don't have to talk to anyone. I tell you this every time we leave"
Friday tried to reason with the tree moss called Yold the unmoving.
"I always feel pressured to either way".
Friday laughed remembering something.
"Is that why you followed that guy everywhere"
Yold shrunk back more after hearing such an embarrassing memory brought back from the dead. Kill it with fire he'll always say.
"He was the only one that talked to me"
"You did know he was the gym instructor, right?"
By now Yold was a tiny speck of dust after shrinking back so much in embarrassment.
"I ended up disturbing the poor man while he worked. Speaking of work, maybe I should get one?"
Friday had a look of agitation in his face.
"You don't have to, I've told you already I'm providing for us, you won't have to be pressured. Just chill and talk with that weirdo girl from the weirdo game".
"I'm not really pressured, neither am I a weirdo"
Yold face flushed pink in an amalgamation of anger and frustration.
"Ok okay, getting a job will be good for you but are you sure it would need you to interact with a lot of people and this time I mean actually talk".
Yold thought a while about Fridays words and reached a conclusion.
"I'm ready"
"Good, we still have to exercise though"
"Still?!"
"Your epiphany is great and all but that just mean you don't need to interact with people. You still need to keep your body healthy"
Even with all his protests Yold still had to go to the gym.
A health mind resides in a healthy body and a healthy soul.
