Chapter 174 - Escaping

Not long after Aziel's shout rang through the halls and the group was rushing towards the southern section, to the uncertain hope of what the cinema might hold for them, the silence was broken by a violent explosive reverberation.

*BANG!*

Grabbing his gun and aiming at the incoming horde, Aziel shot the closest infected that was already mid-air lunging at him without hesitation blowing up its head in the process. Bloody brain matter splattered all across as the headless now-corpse was flung back in the air, crashing into the two other humanoid shaped monsters and throwing them down on the ground.

Though ammunition was a precious, scarce resource, and whilst Aziel wanted to save up as much as he could, with all the self-imposed limitations he had placed on himself as well as the nature of the circumstances, he just couldn't skimp on bullets for the time being. Not right now, not when a horde of these fast running monsters were rushing at him.
