"Regenerators" are simply a class of infected similar to the "Dormant" Infected, though they have roughly all physical enhancements that come with being a "Dormant" infected, they are granted a higher Machia Virus Potency due to commonly being the offspring of a Dormant Infected organism or Gifted infected organism, their range of abilities greatly depending on who they spawn from.

Due to a higher viral Potency, their bodies are granted a high level of regeneration as the virus perpetually restores any damage done to the body, thus helping to drastically increase their life span and in the process of rapidly regrowing limbs or vital organs.

Though the regenerators were quite interesting and probably one of the most annoying as well as arduous opponents to deal with, there were several others just as unique.

A unique subtype of dormant infected was called as the 'Shapeshifters'.
