I felt a strange sensation on my back, my first instinct was to roll over, so I did, but the next thing I knew was that I god a face full of dirt and grass, with pieces of stone digging into my skin.
I frantically got up into a standing position, I was surrounded by tall trees, I couldn't recognize the pieces of trees, definitely not Oak trees or Mango Trees that the garden was filled with, so that ruled out the option that I was pranked.
The next guess was that I was dreaming, but since I thought of the fact that I was dreaming, it's either I'm not dreaming or just having a lucid dream.
I went to search through my pockets as I do remember leaving my wallet with my school ID in there. But as I was about to search them, but I noticed that my forearms looks slightly different, they looked thinner than usual, lighter colored than usual, lighter than usual, smaller than usual, my arms looked the total opposite that they looked before.
From Dark Brown to #F2D399, I don't know why I instantly thought of the number instead of it looked like a strong Asian yellow, for my weight of 200 lbs, my arms were very thin, down the bones thin, but now they look like twigs, my bones must be at least half the size of normal bones.
This cemented that I was dreaming in my mind, my panicked breath calmed down, but I at least wanted to check you can't read in a dream thing, or feel pain in a dream, so I dug deep in my pockets and took out the only thing in them, a card or a piece of paper, it was slightly crumpled, and folded.
I opened it up and went to read it, it said at the top, {Pokemon Technical: A School for Pokemon Trainers}, I continued reading it.
I am the Dean of Students at Pokemon Technical: A School for Pokemon Trainers. I draft this letter to ask you to kindly release your child to attend the upcoming academic trip. The venue in question is located in the Viridian Forest.
Well, that debunked the fact that you can't read in a dream but wasn't there something about you can't understand specific words, but since I just read it, that means I can understand it, words like Pokemon, School, Academic trip, Pokemon Technical.
Another thing was that if you read something, turn around and read it again, the contents of what you are reading would change, so I did just that, I placed it back in my pocket, and took it out again, I read it, and it was the same thing, I did it again, it didn't change. And then I thought, what if I wasn't dreaming, but I instantly forgot about that, that thought was pure foolishness.
Another myth was that you can't feel pain or taste things in dreams, so I brought up my hands to my mouth and gave it a lick, make sure to lick with the center of the tongue, and it tasted bitter, with a hint of saltiness, not like my usual skin that tasted sweet with a hint of bitterness.
I degunked that, I then went to bite into my hand, not like chomp or forcefully, the last time I did that I had to get stitches for it, I lightly pressed my teeth into my hand slowly stinking them, Slowly I felt a dull pain, but after a couple of seconds, I felt a sharp pain as I withdrew my teeth and see teeth marks.
I sat down on the ground as I crossed my legs, some others say you can transform your body at will in a lucid dream, so I concentrated on turning into a Togekiss, why a Togekiss, well because I couldn't think of anything else than Pokemon since I read that Permission letter for Pokemon Tech, that one school that came up in the first season, for one episode, almost right after the second badge, like episode 9 or so.
The Fairy type is my favorite type and Togekiss is my second favorite fairy type, Alolan-Ninetails, but my imagination isn't good enough to remember the details of it without making nightmare fuel.
I envisioned my body glowing in blue light, mimicking the evolution sequence of Pokemon usually have.
I slowly transform as a small amount yellow butterflies flutter around me, my state lengthens as my arms wider, my legs almost disappear leaving only 2 small feet, my head gains 3 spikes as the middle one is larger than the others, my chest enlarges as 3 small tails appear on my tail bone, my overall body shape became very aerodynamic, as my body is straight.
The blue lights leave, leaving the image of quite a big Togekiss, I jumped up and flapped my wings, before actually tripping over dirt and falling flat on my face.
I got up, feeling slightly dejected about it not working, maybe I need some more experience in lucid dreams to transform at will, if so, I won't try to materialize things out of thin air.
Well, I was getting incredibly bored as I couldn't think of anything else to do except explore or try to wake, so before trying to wake up, I picked a direction and started walking.
I walked past the foliage and trees, suddenly remembering that the paper said that I was on a school trip to Viridian Forest in the Pokemon World, so maybe I could dream up some Pokemon, I wonder how they would look like in this dream of mine.
Pokemon you would normally find and only find are the Caterpie line, Weedle Line, Pidgey to Pidgeotto, and Pikachu. From the later games, you could find, Hoothoot line, Seedot line, Spinarak line, Ledyba line, and the Shroomish line. The others are special pokemon found during in-game events and such.
I mean, if I was a trainer, the only pokemon here I would be even mildly interested in was Shroomish and Caterpie, but going off my likings, I would hate both of them as I hate mushrooms in every way, as well as be extremely creeped out by insects, or arachnids.
I continued walking until I happened upon a cave, it was inside a tree, but the inside was clearly made of rock, the natural light shining in from the entrance made sure for me to see the rock walls, the only thing was that after the natural light ended, there was no light inside after a couple of steps.
I had nothing better to do, other than continue to walk, so maybe I should explore this cave, of course, I never entered or seen a cave before so I wouldn't know what my mind would think of when I dream up a cave, it would be cool to see how it looked.
As I was about to walk in, but I soon got a chill down my spine as I snap my head to the right of, there was nothing there but trees and bushes blocking the path, but my time of watching anime and horror movies thought me was that don't go into the area of where you get a bad feeling from unless you are a trained professional, and I am not a trained professional in anything.
So I walked in closing my eyes so they could adjust to the darkness, after about 30 seconds I opened them again and continued to walk until I hit a wall, I search around for a bit until I found 2 paths one to the left and the to the right, I chose the right path.
=--------------------------------------------------------------------------=
I've been wondering around in the pitch-black, cave, maze thing. I kept bumping into wall so many times that I started holding out my hands to block anything incoming, I gained a few stractes on my palms because of the bumby walls.
I always took rights, for when I'm going back I will only have to take lefts, I was never good at remember details of directions, I always had to look up a map of where I'm going unless I'm with someone else.
=-------------------------------------------------------------=
It has been roughly 30 minutes since I entered this cave, and I'm lost, so very very lost. I grew tired of this cave and tried to find a way out, but I couldn't find the exit.
I turned around and took only lefts, but I still couldn't find a way out, I kept taking left for about 2 hours until I found a source of light.
I was so overfilled with relief that tears started to gather in my eyes as I started to run towards the light, no matter how distressed I was, I made sure not to be clumsy.
As I ran into the light, the cave opened up to a giantic area, most of it was a lake that filled 90% of the floor, it looked about 8 or 10 feet deep, it was on of the cleanest waters I have ever seen, it was clear that you could see the bottom without almost any obstruction.
"Ha...."
I sighed as I sat down and wiped the sweat of my face, could one get tired in a dream, I don't know, but I really wanna leave.
Well, guess its time to check wether you can wake up from a dream, one way was to blink, but I've been blinking this entire time, so that's out.
The next thing to try was falling asleep, so I did just that, I scoped up some water in my hands and splashed it into my face, too I couldn't see what I looked like, it was too clear to see, I back my hair to create a makeshift pillow out of it, and I laid on the ground.
I closed my eyes and think of the most boring thing I could think of, my Biology teacher, I slowly but almost instantly fall asleep.
