Chapter 28

Andrew POV
I was now hovering over a mansion.
I was using my Observation Haki and was keeping a track of what Elektra and Matt are doing.
Matt was punching the daylights out of the guy who killed his father.
Elektra on the side was watching with a smile on her face as she watched the love of her life who was taking the step to end his father's murder.
Through this, she would convince Matt to join the Chaste and they both will live together for the rest of their life.
In a distance, you could see some burnt marks in many areas surrounding the mansion.
They were all Hand members who have come to take Elektra and I reached here at the time and was able to eliminate them with no issues. Matt was not able to sense them as he had not yet been taught by Stick, how to identify the Hand Members.
The disappointing part was, Nobu wasn't there. I was hoping he would be here and I could kill him.
I could now see that Matt stopped his rage attacks and panting taking deep breaths and Elektra was in shock that Matt won't take the step.
"I am not a murder Elektra, and I won't be one," Matt said.
Elektra hearing this started to move away from him and got out of the building before Matt could do anything.
I started to follow Elektra as she was running. She was crying as tears were dropping down from her eyes with no stop. I did not expect her love for Matt will grow so much in a short time. I always thought it grew when she was away from him.
Soon as she could feel that someone was following her, she stopped and became vigilant.
"I am not in a good mood so whoever you are better run or I will kill you," she said with anger.
I laughed hearing that and I started to descend.
Elektra who heard someone laughing started to look around everywhere hiding behind a tree but did not expect one to come down from the sky.
When she saw me descend, fear started to grow in her.
She held her two knives that she had hidden in her legs tightly and was ready to attack if I make a wrong move.
"Elektra Natchios, glad to see your vigilant," I said in a mechanical voice.
"Who are you?" She questioned.
"I am the Dark King"
When she heard me, she was shocked.
*So, she recognizes the name, hmm… didn't expect that*
"I see that you have heard my name before, may I know how you know?"
Elektra collected herself and relaxed a bit, which I could not understand.
"You have been eliminating some people that I am after myself"
"You mean Hand?"
"You know about Hand," she uttered in disbelief.
"Yes, I do. I know many things Elektra."
She again held her knives with a strong grip.
"I am not here to harm you, Elektra. I came here to give you an offer, will you hear me?"
She nodded.
"You see, I am planning to create an organization and for that, I need members, members who are skilled, who have abilities, and members who are ready to take the necessary steps if required."
She was about to speak and I stopped her.
"I know what you are going to ask, how you can trust me, what is the motive of this organization and what can this organization do for you."
"First and foremost, you will get freedom. Yes, you will have to do some missions that you are doing now, but you will have the ability to refuse them. You will have resources that won't be short of what you are getting, why you will have more than what you are having now."
"And the reason why I am starting this organization is that there are threats that will be coming to our world. And to fight against them we need to be united as one. As you can see there is no hope that will happen even if I give out information to the whole world. Due to this, I am creating an organization that will be the backbone of our world. A shadow that will protect it from all kinds of danger. AN organization that can say it knows all nooks and cranny of the world."
Elektra did not utter any words as she had a thoughtful expression. After a minute, she looked at me and asked, "What do you mean by threats that will be coming to our world?"
I smiled and said, "Did you think that we are the only beings that can think and develop? There are beings outside our world that can flatten us if they want to. We are right now a mundane world that has many secrets which are yet to be discovered by them and once they do, they will come here and wreak havoc on all forms."
"If what you say is true that means we are a world that has to be prepared for wars that will eventually come."
"Yes."
"How do you know this?" She asked.
"That is my ability Elektra."
She became silent.
I don't know what she is thinking, it would be great if I have an ability like that.
"I need time," I heard her.
I am taking a huge risk doing this and silently I released a small bug from my toes.
"Please do know this Elektra that I am taking some risks talking to you about this. I hope you don't disclose what we have been talking about, as that will not end well for you."
I released my Conqueror's Haki in full force at her as I told this.
She kneeled on the ground due to the sheer pressure.
I could see the fear that was growing in her with no stop. The ground surrounding her cracked due to my pressure.
"Remember, anyone you talk about this will die along with you. And I promise you this, Matthew Murdock will be the first victim."
When I said that horror descended on her face.
"You have two days, two days Elektra"
I disappeared and stopped using my Haki.
Elektra POV
Matthew did not do it.
I did not realize that I was crying.
I was hoping for him to kill him and then make him join Chaste along with me and once everything is over, I could marry him and have a family and live peacefully.
Now Stick won't even allow me to see him as he could easily see I feel in love with Matthew.
My thoughts stopped as I felt a gaze on me.
I took the knives that I had in my legs hidden and hid behind a tree.
"I am not in a good mood so whoever you are better run or I will kill you," I said with anger.
Then I saw him descend from the sky laughing and that alone frightened me. He was dressed in black and he had a coat hovering behind him and he was flying. He was fucking flying.
He said he was the Dark King. I was shocked when I heard that.
The Dark King has been making a name for himself in the underworld and not only that he is killing the members of the Hand.
Stick has already ordered that if I ever come across him I should try to talk to him and know whether he knows the Hand and if he does convince him to join Chaste. I was waiting for my chance to talk but he did not give me that at all.
He soon started to talk about threats that will be coming outside our world.
I wouldn't have even had the thought to believe this but I saw him flying which changed my thoughts completely.
If this was someone else, I would have killed him for spouting bullshit like this.
And this guy in front of me, he is a monster. One wrong step and I would be dead.
He is right about our world. Even if we put a speaker to the whole world and say this no one would believe it.
I started to contemplate as he stopped talking.
I don't know what to do. I need time but will he even give that to me.
He is taking a risk in doing this and that alone tells me that the situation is not good. I need time and I can only request him.
"I need time," I said with fear.
After a second, I felt a pressure that I have never in my life felt. I felt death. I was helpless as I kneeled on the ground and the ground surrounding me started to crack.
Blood slowly started to come out of my mouth and my knees were already bleeding. I put my hands down to balance myself as I felt my consciousness going.
Then I heard him say that he will kill Matthew and I felt despair.
The next second he disappeared and I lay on the ground as I felt the pressure disappear.
Two days, I have to decide in two days.
I know that if I don't say anything and do not join this organization he is talking about he might let me live. But if I ever were to breathe a word of the conversation we had, he will kill Matthew.
There will be no reason for my life if Matthew dies.
But what she doesn't know is he will not kill Matthew as he has already planned to make him join the organization.
Andrew POV.
I returned to the base.
"It seems you have left quite the impression and a threat on her. I don't think she will join after you said you will kill the love of her life." I heard Gerald's voice as I entered the base.
"That's where you are wrong, Gerald. For her to even be with Matthew she needs freedom and that is something she will never have unless she comes out of Chaste, this is something that will never happen if she refuses in joining. Not only that Hand will always be after her as she is the Black Sky," I told him.
"You could have at least told her that," Gerald said.
"I will if she joins."
I then went to the Time Chamber and did my Daily Quests as usual.
It was around 4 AM and I have been awake since 10 AM yesterday. I had to make some arrangements and plans for Mike before heading off to Antarctica.
If you are wondering what happened the next day after I got the surprise visit of A Goddess and Ancient one, nothing.
The next day Claire had no idea that a Goddess took over her body and Mike thought he had just gone to sleep in the room.
But Claire felt some changes in her body but brushed it off thinking she had a good sleep. I started to monitor her.
The Goddess of Balance and Order, what she did made me feel weak but that won't be for long. I will grow stronger and with Batman's memories I have many ways to increase my power other than the system and I will be using that. I also have to look for methods to hide from others' eyes but what I require is to figure out a way to find them, I believe Savage Land will play a major role in it.
I still feel like I am acting like an idiot sometimes and that will have to stop. If only I had gone through Batman's memories will I know that I would not have done a thing such as having a contact with the bracelet.
I have stopped going through Batman's memories in fear of becoming him and not being me but now I don't have a choice and I will make sure to not let his memories influence me.
Many who would be in my position will think what is wrong in letting Batman's memories influencing me, I will have only one thing to say not all Batman's memories are pleasant.
In three days, I will be leaving for Antarctica with Gerald leaving behind Mike to take care of the Company along with the loyal board members. I have already purged the ones making problems and ones who are in contact with some gangs and even Hydra. Gerald will start the training for Ray after we return and Claire will be busy as her father had requested her presence for some matters.
I heard the *Ding* sound as I completed my Daily Quest.

"I hope I will get a new skill after I reach 40%, I also have to use the Gol D. Roger Item, it appears as a card containing various Gol D. Roger's items and I will be getting one from it, hope I get his sword," I muttered as I saw my status.
"I am going to get some rest, Andrew," said Gerald as he headed to his room.
I decided to do the same.
I laid down on my bed, "Zestia wake me up around 11."
"Will do, sir. Have a good sleep,"
I closed my eyes and drifted into my dreams.

I have made some small changes in the Passive Skills. It has been done in all chapters.
As Andrew progress in Batman's memories it will automatically increase.
Consider Batman's memories like a Mind Palace in Andrew's mind and he has gone through only minimum of it and he stopped in fear of becoming him and as you can see he regrets.
Volume One is going to end soon.
Next Volume will be Andrew's adventure in Savage Lands and of course going through Batman's memories.
