Chapter 2

"Who are you?"

Kira asked in a cautious yet formal manner, careful about not angering them. Their intimidating was all over the place. Even the calm sunshine lady had a heavy aura. Kira could hear his heart beat beating faster. The tension increased as the awkward silence between them prolonged.

"I am your father," said the man dressed in green. The one who had a cunning vibe around him.

It took a few moments for Kira to process what he just said. Even then, he still couldn't believe it.

"I'm sorry, but what?"

"Oh, I said I am your…"

"Yeah, I heard what you said, but what do you mean by father?"

"Never mind that clown. It's just one of his many overused joke." said the women in black, waving her hand as if he was some kind of insignificant worm"

"You know this is the reason your husband left you"

"What did you say, clown god?" she walked towards him, ready to attack

"At least I can use my power both during day and night, unlike some god who is weak in the sun. Ha, you should be a vampire god instead of magic"

"Well, my parents didn't abandon me"

"Oh!, Hecate, no! that was rude" the other gods shouted in unison.

"Oh, its own you vampire god"

"Yeah, let's end this joke of the gods"

"It's Loki, you shitty women"

Loki summoned daggers and the surrounding air became more madness like. While purple aura surrounded Hecate. The pressure increased. It got harder to breathe. Kira was being pressed down by the pressure. It was as if he was about to throw up his insides. Blood oozed from his mouth.

The other two just stood there as if they were spectators to some monster brawl contest.

"How about we end this for now?"

Said the women in white, clapping her hands. The aura vanished completely, as if it never existed.

Who in the fucking hell are these people? He wondered, wiping the blood off his chin.

"You must have a lot of questions, dear, but we can't explain everything now," said the women in a sweet voice.

"Lets start with our introduction. I am Saraswathi, the goddess of knowledge. This man is Loki, the god of mischief. She is Hecate, the goddess of magic, and he is Montu, the god of war. We will live inside you for a while, but I will give you some of my powers as compensation".

"Wait what?" before he could ask for more, she waved her hand, sending back flying up and waking up as if everything was a dream.

"Huh?"

He still couldn't understand anything. What the hell was happening? He wondered.

But everything was trivial when an explosive aroma entered his nose. He got up straight and looked towards from where the aroma was coming. Alice was crouching near a bonfire with a small pot on top.

"Where did you get the pot from?" he asked as he trudged towards her.

"Brother, you're up!" she said, with a glimmer in her eyes.

"Yeah, smell good. What're you cooking?"

Kira sat down near the fire. His muscles were still sore from the sudden moments which his body wasn't used to. On inspecting, he saw a simple soup witch some veggies floating on top.

There are vegetables in this forest? Those are carrots and potatoes, since when did they star growing in the wild. He was wondering when Alice handed a pot for him.

"Oh, thanks, but where did you all these supplies in the middle of the forest?"

"The pot was floating down the stream nearby and those vegetables were growing nearby"

Wasn't that way too convenient? Oh well, who cares? I am hungry. He scarfed down the food. The smooth liquid went down his throat with ease. It didn't taste like food made in broken pot on a bonfire with few ingredient instead it was more like a gourmet food.

So good, its jus potato carrot and water. How is it so good?

"It pretty good. What did you add to it for the creaminess?"

"Let's see, diluted scorpion poison and shell"

"Cool, diluted scorpion poi…. WHAT?" he screamed.

He couldn't believe what she just said. Scorpion poison can kill a grown man drinking it even if diluted could cause some severe problems, especially in a fantasy world.

"Brother didn't like it?" she asked, her eyes slowly brimming up.

"No, no, I love, you.. um.. can cook whenever you want. See, I'm eating," he said as he poured more into his bowl.

"Yay, then I will cook for brother from now on"

For god's sake, why am I so weak to her?

By the time they finished their food, an hour had passed. In order to search for more provision, Kira went to look around the forest hoping to find some goods or, at least, a way out of this forest. On the way, he came across an abnormally large stone. It was blue instead of the normal gray. He went closer and touched it had a warm feeling around at the same time in felt cold. Suddenly, he found himself in a dark, familiar place. The same place as before where he met those people. But this time it sees larger.

"Congratulations child, you activated your mana core," said the goddess of knowledge

"What?"

"Finally brat you did something useful" said the god of mischief".

"Aye, well done kiddo," said the god of war, hitting his back with an enough force that knocked him down.

"Ow, are you trying to kill me?"

"Oh, sorry"

"I guess I can teach you magic now"

"Wait, wait. First, why the fuck are four powerful gods from Earth inside me in a fantasy world and second, what is it you guys want?"

"Ho, why do you think we want something"

"You guys are the most powerful being who are worshiped as omnipotent deities by four different great empires that mankind has ever seen. I'm pretty sure you could get what you want by just a mere flick of a finger. Even if you want me, you could just threaten or manipulate my faith, but you're being nice to me and ready to share your knowledge with me, so in conclusion you want me to cooperate with you with full consent. Am I right?"

"Oh, I love smart people," said Saraswati after a few moment's pause

"I hate smart ones," spat Loki

"Well, you're right about us needing you, and will use you for our need"

"So, what is it?"

"We can't tell you that," said Montu in a solemn voice.

"Then why should I trust you and give you my life"

There was an awkward silence for a few seconds .

"Lost in an unknown world, reincarnated as a useless boy who could die even at the hands of a magic apprentice, one little sister to protect who has placed undying belief in you. Trust me kid, you will die by tomorrow." said Loki nonchalantly

Kira knew what he said was true. He was truly in an unknown world with no clue about its geography, history, ways, society system, common sense. He was lost in a dense forest with no back up a little, frail sister to protect.

"Argh, fuck! Fine, do whatever you wish, but I need complete assurance that you will help and protect the both of us"

All of them agreed without a moment's delay, and thus the pact between the five was complete.

"Well, time is up," said Hecate

"What time"

"Your soul is not strong enough to stay in your sea of concessions for too long. You felt it right, this place got bigger, and you talked to us longer. That's cause you absorbed that burning cold mana from that stone, making your soul more stable and allowing you to staying here longer and also becoming mage apprentice."

"Then how do I make my so…."

Before he could complete his question, he woke up back to reality. It felt as if someone yanked him by the collar threw his soul back to body.

Now what? he wondered should just go back. Suddenly, a sharp pain pierced through his brain as if some had electrocuted his brain directly. Informations about mana absorption and magic flashed through his eyes.

He read the instruction and followed. He sat in a meditative pose and started feeling the mana. It took a few minutes, but he eventually started feeling it. He first absorbed the remaining burning cold energy from the rock. It felt as if he was drinking a cool soda on a hot, sunny day. It was cold at the same time hot, making him feel completely refreshed and energetic. His sore muscles and wounds slowly healed, leaving not even a mark, as if it never even existed.

He had imagined as the energy filling inside him as if water filling a cup and finally it reached its maximum capacity. After an hour, he could feel a sudden surge of power exploding inside of him.

"So this is first level mage?" Kira, who was now thirteen, had become the youngest mage to become a first class mage even without formal training.
