Chapter 005: Not a Single Leaf Touched

In front of the school clinic.

A few disheveled girls were wiping their tears, with no part of their bodies unharmed, their hair and clothes stained with a foul-smelling substance. Miss Hunter, the headteacher of Class 2, couldn't help covering her nose.

The teaching director sternly instructed the school doctor to examine the injuries of the students.

"It was Chloe Stephens, headteacher, she locked us in the bathroom and splashed ink all over us."

Marcella Thomas, teary-eyed and dry-heaving on the side, felt even more wronged and angry when she heard the girl next to her speak.

Chloe Stephens dared to do this to them, just wait!

Her eyes were filled with red and hatred.

Everyone accused Chloe Stephens, and Miss Hunter had no choice but to call her over.

"Chloe Stephens."

Standing in front of the school clinic, Chloe Stephens faced everyone's gaze, "Headteacher."

What an eye-opening experience the current school was, Chloe really liked it.

It was these weak girls who acted improperly, causing the original owner's death. The lesson she gave them was already very light.

If it wasn't for her arrival, these people would have been charged with murder. To some extent, they should be thankful to her.

"Chloe Stephens, you dare to show up? I'll kill you," Marcella Thomas, with her body covered in red and black, charged towards Chloe Stephens.

Chloe Stephens stepped aside, and Marcella Thomas missed.

"Pull her back, look at what you've all become. Fighting and brawling, each of you will get a major demerit. Call your parents to come and pick you up from school," the teaching director roared in anger.

Chloe Stephens calmly asked the teaching director, "I did not commit any wrongdoing, why am I being punished as well?"

A major demerit was a very serious matter for a student.

It was a stain.

Chloe Stephens acquired some strange knowledge through shared memories.

"You think group fighting and brawling isn't wrong, Chloe Stephens? You have a special situation, and the school has been taking extra care of you. But you don't appreciate your parents' hardships and come to school to fight instead of study. Do you think you're worthy of your parents?"

"I've been walking around the playground the whole time and never went to the bathroom. Did any of you see me come out of there?" Chloe Stephens asked calmly.

The teaching director was taken aback and looked at Miss Hunter.

Miss Hunter recalled the scene of opening the door and indeed didn't see Chloe Stephens coming out of the bathroom.

"Headteacher, she's lying, she was inside, and she must have escaped through the back window."

"Yes, she must have jumped out the window."

"The back window is water; with such a slippery wall, how am I supposed to jump out without getting a single drop of water on me and return safely to the ground?" Chloe Stephens stood in front of everyone, clean and not even slightly dirty.

"Miss Hunter," the teaching director looked at Miss Hunter for confirmation.

"Chloe Stephens really wasn't inside."

With so many classmates watching, Miss Hunter couldn't help Marcella Thomas and the others even if she wanted to.

The girls screamed, "You're lying! Chloe Stephens clearly was inside!"

Miss Hunter frowned, "Shella Norton, the teacher would never lie about such matters."

"Teacher, Chloe Stephens is lying. She pushed my head into the ink bucket, her feet and hands must have gotten ink on them. You'll know if she's lying if you just look." Marcella Thomas pointed at Chloe Stephens with her trembling hand.

Chloe Stephens lifted her foot, her shoes had only dirt from the campus area and no ink at all, and her hands were pale and clean.

"How is it possible? She must have washed it off. Teacher, headteacher, it was Chloe Stephens who beat us up like this."

"Do the teacher and headteacher think I have the ability to beat up several people in that situation and come out unscathed, and even more magically, I wasn't even inside?" Chloe Stephens analyzed it lightly.

Yes, Chloe Stephens never liked to talk in class and had a slower mind than others. How could she possibly outsmart Marcella Thomas, an outstanding student ranked in the top three of the class?

"Headteacher, someone saw her follow us into the bathroom, just ask, and everything will be clear." Marcella Thomas cried with red eyes, her whole head either black or red, not washing off much.

Now the teaching director could see that it was just a farce of Marcella Thomas and the others fooling around and trying to put the blame on Chloe Stephens, who had some mental problems, in order to absolve themselves of their misbehavior in the bathroom.

The teaching director's face looked extremely displeased, "Enough, you need to take responsibility for what you did yourselves, Chloe Stephens, you go back to the classroom first."

"Director!"

A few female students cried out in disbelief at the same time.

"Everyone, behave. Miss Hunter, call their parents, and take them home for today. Each person will receive a minor demerit."

"Mr. Sullivan, isn't the punishment too heavy?"

"If we don't punish heavily today, they will cause trouble again tomorrow. Miss Hunter, I know you don't want to punish your students, but they are not young anymore. If they make mistakes, they must learn to bear the consequences." The teaching director didn't show any leniency in such matters.

Bianca Hunter frowned. These students had good academic performance, especially Marcella Thomas, who had always maintained the top three in the class.

It was Chloe Stephens, who had just left, that was dragging her class down. She wouldn't feel heartache if she received a major demerit.

*

When Chloe returned to the classroom, everyone's eyes sneaked glances at her.

As soon as class was over, everyone gathered to discuss the incident that occurred during the break.

"Chloe, I didn't realize you were so awesome. You didn't even get a scratch on you while Marcella Thomas and the others ended up like that. What method did you use to humiliate them so badly?" Mason Sullivan pulled up the chair in front of him and sat down, both hands propped on Chloe's desk as he looked at her.

Chloe took a step back and calmly stared at him.

Mason Sullivan felt embarrassed and scratched his short hair, "Fine, fine, I won't ask."

The bathroom incident quickly spread.

The eyes of the students in Class 2 changed as they looked at Chloe.

Before the incident, it was Shella Norton from their class who had called her out.

Some people saw the embarrassing scene of Marcella Thomas and the others and talked about it vividly after class, which showed how tragic the situation was at the time.

No one in Class 2 believed this incident had nothing to do with Chloe.

After school.

Chloe carried her schoolbag and walked out.

Mason Sullivan's hand was resting on Oliver Gordon's shoulder as he stared at Chloe's retreating figure and grinned, "Oliver, do you think Marcella Thomas and the others were beaten by Chloe? I heard the situation at the time was quite a spectacle! Chloe truly refreshed our understanding of her!"

Oliver Gordon shook off Mason Sullivan's hand, feeling rather fed up with hearing Chloe's name all day.

"Chloe."

In a place with no one else around, Xavier Foster called out to her from behind.

Xavier Foster ran to her front and said, "You got into a fight at school. When I go back, I'll tell Granny. You're done for."

Xavier Foster was Chloe's uncle's son, only two months older than her, in the same grade.

Chloe also had a younger cousin who was in Grade 8.

Xavier Foster particularly disliked Chloe, who embarrassed him at school. Just like today, after the bathroom incident, all of them ran to him to ask about his "mentally challenged" cousin, who suddenly became smarter and turned people into such a sorry state without even getting punished. How promising she was!

After throwing down those words, Xavier Foster turned around and ran towards home.

"Screech!"

A sharp brake sound came, and a small sedan was seen rushing towards Xavier Foster.

Seeing that the car was about to hit him, all he could do was stand there dumbfounded.

A hand swiftly yanked him back and flung him away.

The pedestrians stopped and stared dumbly at the small sedan flying out and hitting the guardrail before crashing into a wall.

The whole process happened in the blink of an eye.

Chloe was standing just a punch's distance away from where the sedan flew by. She looked up and looked sideways at a place, her eyes calm as water.

At that spot, a suspicious figure walked past.
