"Ella, you look so pale, are you okay?"
A companion asked with concern.
Ella gave a weak smile, "I'm fine."
She excused herself, then hurriedly headed out while dialing Sophia's number.
Picking up, she spoke anxiously, "Mum, how could you decide my future without consulting me? Even if I were to marry him in the future, it's not certain yet. Why are you in such a rush to get rid of me?"
Sophia covered her phone, chuckling sheepishly.
Outside, she lowered her voice, "Ella, mum's consideration is multifaceted, and still believes that Filbert Fisher is the most suitable candidate."
"Even if he is the most suitable candidate, it should be me who tells him, not you suddenly rushing over to discuss our engagement. Mum, find a way to leave the Fisher House with Granny."
