With a burst, I was upon the material Deathlord and struck with my sword.
The attack was blocked but it staggered backwards from the force behind it.
"Yol!"
With a word, a torrent of fire assaulted the Deathlord. But these guys were like cockroaches.
{Fo!}
Because it countered with Frost Breath.
{Fus!}
Then I felt a strong force behind me. I was thrown away by a shout from the previous immaterial Deathlord.
Just before I hit the wall, expelled magicka from my body to mitigate the impact.
After I landed on the ground, I disappeared once more, appearing right behind the shield bearing Deathlord.
I pushed magicka inside the blade which made it light up in flames and released it with contact.
It put up its shield but I pumped the blade with quite a bit of magicka. The shield couldn't stand for long and started melting slowly.
Soon enough, I cut through both the shield and the arm holding it but I couldn't push my luck further since the other Deathlord was upon me.
With a burst, I disappeared once again, putting some distance between us.
I was down to half magicka from the exchange. Good thing was that shouts didn't consume any magicka.
"Yol!"
I inhaled air and exhaled fire.
{Fo!} but it was countered as expected.
The mist that occurred from the collision of fire and frost gave me a little bit of cover.
I kicked Deathlord on the right and focused on the one that I took the arm of.
"Fus!"
I didn't use the second word deliberately since I didn't want it to fly too far away from me. Just pushing it backwards and destroying its balance was enough.
I pumped magicka in the blade once again and went for the finishing blow, its neck.
{Feim!}
Oh come on!
This one knows it too!
Fuck!
I kicked the ground to dodge a blow coming from behind and swung my sword, taking its sword arm.
Now I had two one-armed opponents.
{Yol!}
"Fo!"
I countered the fire with frost this time. And got in its guard from below, thankfully it couldn't dodge this time and I left a large burning gash on its torso.
Its ribcage was lit on flames from the enchant on my blade but I couldn't deal the finishing blow once again.
{Fus!}
"Fus!"
I dodged the attack coming from behind and countered force with force.
Using the shouts didn't consume any magicka but it depleted the stamina.
Soon, I was gasping for breaths.
I put some distance to have some rest but it was futile.
{Fus Ro!}
"Feim!"
*Rumble!
A Deathlord tried to hit me with two words from Unrelenting Force but ended up hitting the wall as I used Ethereal Form.
Ground started shaking and debris started falling on us from the impact on the wall.
But I finally could catch some breath while in Ethereal Form.
And since I got a few moments, I decided to take a look at the word wall.
There was always one word that shone brighter than the rest signaling the word that was used by the dragon who resided here before.
As expected, a word, three letters were calling out to me. I approached the wall and touched the word while closing my eyes, letting the knowledge seep into my being.
I saw a dragon, its unstoppable force, impenetrable scales and powerful shouts.
I understood what was written.
To take on the mighty aspect of a dragon.
Dragon Aspect.
I opened my eyes just in time for the Ethereal Form to run out, but it didn't matter since I had regenerated most of my magicka and stamina.
"Mul!"
As soon as I uttered the word, I felt a powerful force surging within me.
I was much more stronger, much more durable, and my Shouts were more powerful.
Two orange phantasmal horns were protruding on my head and two orange ice wraith like creatures were circling around me.
No, not ice wraiths. Fire Wryms. As soon as I willed, they would attack the enemy, but they needed a trail.
Since they were Fire Wryms, they obviously needed a trail of fire.
"Yol!"
So, I gave them just that. With my shout, the battle began once more.
Fire wryms were keeping a Deathlord busy while I dealt with the other one.
{Fus!}
"Fus!"
My force pushed through its force easily and threw my opponent to the ground a few meters away.
I pumped magicka in the sword and swung it towards its neck, this time cutting the head off and severing the magic binding it to the mortal plane.
With one of them done, I turned towards the other Deathlord.
It managed to get rid of one fire wrym, but the other one was keeping it busy still.
"Fus!"
My shout took the Desthlord by surprise and it couldn't do anything against me until my blade cut its head.
"Haaaah finally."
I released a breath and finally sheathed my blade.
My new sword was exceptional indeed. From its sharp edge to its enchantment.
Most man-made artifacts had a limit to its enchantment usage. You could use the enchantments for a set amount. And once their enchantments runs out, you had to recharge them with a soul gem.
My falchions were just like that. I had to limit the magicka I pumped in them and control the amount I used from the enchantment making them have a controlled power.
But this sword, it didn't have a limit.
Its fire would get stronger the more magicka I pumped into it.
It had infinite power.
But of course I didn't. So, nothing really changed much.
Just that I wouldn't need to pay for recharging the enchantment.
I was taken out of my musing by Dragon Aspect's sudden vanishing.
'1 minute.' That was how long I could stay in that form.
And with it, I fell to the ground from fatigue.
"Gah! I didn't know about this." I couldn't even raise my hand. I was exhausted, sleep was beckoning to me but I couldn't sleep here in the open.
Who knew what could happen in a dungeon.
But my body didn't listen to me. Even my magicka felt sluggish.
'Dammit.'
Then I closed my eyes and soon, unconsciousness took hold of me.
—
After sleeping for who knows how long, I opened my eyes to see the ceiling of the dungeon.
"Phew." I released a breath of relief and got up.
After stretching and releasing the tension in my joints, I retraced my steps.
And after walking for a bit, I was greeted by the night sky. And saw the horse I bought for my travels tied to a tree.
"Let's go Roach."
After untying the reins from the tree, I got on the horse I bought for my travels.
Horses in Skyrim weren't that fast but they made it up with their sturdiness. They could travel longer distances and were quite resistant to the harsh climates. And they were quite obedient too.
But Nords didn't like horses…except in stews.
Seriously, I couldn't fully understand these people no matter how much we had the same roots.
'Hmm?'
I usually didn't travel at night because there were too many dangerous nocturnal creatures in the wilds of Skyrim, and I was right.
I was currently surrounded by three of them. But I didn't know what kind of creature they were.
I could sense there was a malicious intent and it had three sources but other than that I couldn't understand much since the creatures were too silent.
'Probably Muffle, and Invisibility perhaps?'
So, I got down from my horse and slapped it on the back.
The horse neighed and started running away.
Good.
I drew my golden katana and waited.
I kept listening for any sounds but it was futile. I couldn't even hear a heartbeat let alone a step.
But the wait didn't last long as a humanoid creature lunged towards me from the foliage.
'Oh, joy. Vampires.'
I dodged the attack to put some distance between me and the vampire.
Silver lining was that they weren't some experienced vampires. They were too skinny and dressed in pheasant garments. Likely, they were turned not long ago and were holding their urge to drink blood but couldn't hold it back anymore, they lost their minds and I was happened to be in their sight.
I pumped magicka in my blade and swung at the other one. Fire and silver was the biggest weaknesses of a vampire and I made full use of that.
With every attack came a fiery arc flying towards the vampires.
One of them couldn't dodge in time and instantly turned to ashes.
The rest looked a little afraid after seeing a comrade turned into ashes and took a step back.
"I'm sorry but I can't let you go." With a burst, I was right behind the running vampires.
With two fast swings, they joined their comrade as ash piles.
"May you find peace in the afterlife. Now, where did that horse run off to?" I offered a simple prayer and turned towards where I remembered my horse was running off towards.
