0035##Chapter 35

##She had finally forced her grandfather to surrender today.

Two of them had fun for the whole day before they leisurely took a flight back to Southland City. By the time they returned, the sky had turned dark.

Richard had purposely sent someone to the airport to pick them up and bring them back to the company. He was afraid that Janice might cause a problem on the way again.

When the two of them arrived in the meeting room, it was nearly 9.00 pm.

The meeting room was full of people, and Cillian calmly made his way to the Hill family's office building again.

Richard sighed in relief. "So, can we officially start the meeting now?"

Emma stood up and organized the proposal again before she talked about every detail. The meeting went on until 7.00 am the next day.

The meeting was held for the whole night.

After all the discussions were finished, Cillian kept complimenting Emma.

"Well done! You're impressive! I've indeed made the right decision to choose you.

"Ms. Hill, I feel rest assured with you as the person in charge of this construction project."

Cillian smiled as he left.

Following that, Emma walked toward Richard. "Grandpa, there's something I want to discuss with you."

"Oh? Do you still want to discuss something with an old man like me, Ms. Hill?"

"Grandpa…"

"Say it."

"I think it's better to let the main company be in charge of this project."

Richard scoffed. "Hmph! You're pretty sensible. You can't take this project on alone. Don't worry, the main company will help out, but you're still the person in charge of the project."

After he spoke, he waved his hand, turned around, and left.

Others in the family also left. Everyone stared at Emma with a wicked gaze too.

She was completely cast aside.

Emma felt very distressed and looked depressed.

Janice walked over and hugged her. "Your kindness has been taken badly again. You've let the main company be responsible for the project, which means that you've also given them the profit. In the end, Grandpa didn't thank you but even said that you were sensible. People like him are terrible."

Emma sighed. "No matter what happens, he is still my grandfather."

Out of nowhere, Janice casually asked, "If the Hill family goes against you one day, what will you do?"

"Um…"

Emma could not answer.

Suddenly, Emma remembered something. "Oh yeah, my cousin is starting her semester break today, and I promised to pick her up from campus."

When she wanted to leave, Janice stopped her.

"Forget it. You've worked for the whole night. You shouldn't go."

"No way. My cousin's in a fight with her mother. If I don't go and pick her up, I don't know where she'll go."

"I'll go and pick her up. You can go home and rest."

"You?"

"Why? Are you worried even if I just go and pick her up?"

Emma shook her head. "It's not that I'm worried, but didn't you also work with me last night?"

Janice patted her body. "I'm a soldier. This is just a piece of cake for me. Give me the car key and tell me the university's address, as well as your cousin's name and contact number."

"This is the car key. My cousin is Susan Musk. She studies at the Southland University of Foreign Studies. We've agreed to meet up at the university's north gate at 9.00 am. You can't be late."

"I won't mess it up. You can go home and sleep. I'll bring your cousin back home safely."

Janice took the car key, turned around, and left the meeting room.
