Chapter 21: Secret Plots

After the huge meeting with the troupe and counsel member, Gisella’s anxiety began to stir within her. She knew she had to get rid of the dagger, and quickly.

She wasn’t sure what it had been used for or how it played a part in this whole thing, but if Galeran had had it she was certain that it meant nothing good. So, later that night, she snuck out of her room and walked quietly through the castle halls.

She wasn’t familiar with the castle just yet and there were so few places she had been despite being locked up here for some weeks. But there was one place she thought she could hide it where no one often visited or would look; the garden.

Her breath caught in her throat as she turned around the familiar corner leading into the high hedges and long grass of the gardens to see a familiar figure standing there. Not Ryre, but the second prince.
