45. Long Night

Tara still shook her head.

Aldrick turned his gaze to the nightstand with the tray of food he brought earlier. The tray was still in the same position and reduced, Tara didn't touch it. "Want to eat?" he asked Tara.

Tara shook her head again. "IM not hungry."

Aldrick was silent for a moment. "I'll eat then," he said as he took the tray of food and placed it on his lap.

Tara just kept quiet while watching what Aldrick was doing. Seeing the man getting busy with the food on his lap.

"You're not hungry?"

Tara shook her head confidently with a faint smile. "Eat," he continued.

Aldrick didn't say much anymore. He started to scoop the food and ate it slowly. There is no other choice. He felt awkward because all day Tara had found out that he was treating her better than usual. Not bad, and Tara is the kind of girl to stick around if she ignores what happened before. Aldrick admits that.
