William is standing over the tower looking over the city with a distant look on his face as he's lost in his mind. "My King, Ranulf Ead has arrived," Jocel says he appears behind him but William didn't notice that someone is standing behind calling him. "My King, is there something bothering you?" Jocel calls William in a loud voice.
William turns back and saw Jocel kneeling behind him. "Is something of matter?" He asks.
"Yes, my King. Forge master Ranulf has arrived as you wished." Jocel replied.
"Where is Captain Frost?" William asked. "Go tell her to handle the matter on my behalf. I am rather busy at the moment."
"As you wish, my King," Jocel replied and left. "Where Captain frost could. She was here a while ago." Jocel thought as he is running in the corridor of the Royal Palace. "Apologies for the interruption, have you seen Captain Frost or know where she might be right now?" He asked a Knight, who was just walking by.
"She was just over there on the left," Knight replied, pointing towards the left corridor.
Jocel thanked him and ran towards the left corridor and he saw a woman walking slowly but gracefully. Her dress was blue as the sky with a little accent of white with a blue cape covering her from the back and over the left arm. Her eyes were blue as the deep ocean, blond hair was scattered over her shoulder and her back like gold veins. "Please wait, captain Frost," Jocel said.
She turns back, looking over her shoulder, she saw a young knight calling her from behind. "Yes! Why are you calling me like this young man?" She asked Jocel.
"Apology for the inconvenience Captain, but my King requires your assistant," Jocel replied and told her the King's order.
"Fine," she replied as she turned back and started walking in the opposite direction from before. She enters a lounge and saw a man standing there. More than average height, black hair with a slight tint of brown, and deep brown eyes. His shoulder was wide and muscles were bulging in his arms and His clothes had gray stains, giving the impression of work relating to fire and metal. "Follow me." She said and walked out of the room and the man started following her. Both were walking quietly.
Ranulf looked at the captain as she was glaring at him like something was bothering her about him. "Is there something you want to say, Eva?" Ranulf asked?
"No, why do you think I want to say something?" Eva replied with a bitter face.
"Your face tells me otherwise." Ranulf replied, "and it's not like you. Whenever we see each other, you always have something to yell at me."
"Are you an idiot?" Eva replied.
"Why? What have I done this time?" Ranulf said.
"Nothing like you are not wearing this wickedly dirty cloth. Your face is also doesn't have black markings and your hands are all clean," Eva replied with a tense voice glaring at him. "This is how you'll appear in front of the King, even if you know him personally."
"Well, I was working, and they took me here and they didn't want to wait. Have I done something that he didn't like?" As Ranulf asked her, she went silent and her face turned gloomy. She took him to a room in the infirmary where a dark orb was floating in the air and as Ranulf saw the orb, he asked with excitement. "Wow, where did you get this? Who is in there? What happened? Tell me." But She stood quietly. "If you won't tell me, then how should I supposed to know that What my job is here?" Ranulf asked.
"Undo the spell, this your job," Eva replied and walked into a corner of the room and sat there silently hiding her face in his arms, folding over her knees.
"Hey what happened. You seem upset. Have I done something?" Ranulf asked, but sat there silently. "If I have upset you somehow, then I'll take you out somewhere after we've done here," Ranulf asked as he smiled gently.
"Maybe sometime else and you have done nothing and please do your work and don't speak anymore." She replied in a down voice and it felt like she would cry as tears started bubbling in her eyes.
"Okay, I won't ask any more as you don't want to tell me," Ranulf replied as he was forming a magic circle around the sphere and thought of not to disturb her as it would make her even sadder but he still couldn't figure out what was the reason.
The news of Alexander's death was kept under wraps for the time being in William's order. As it would cause unrest or even lead to panic among people, knowing a horde was so deep in the kingdom and they've lost one of the best knights among the 7 captains. It'll create unwanted unrest and fear, but he knew eventually people will know.
"I don't know what to do. I can deal with anything, but for my sister, I am just really worried about her. How would she deal with this and I am afraid that it might affect the baby in a bad way?" William was talking to a man, tall, with white hair starched back on his head, deep black eyes, and wrinkled skin on his forehead and cheeks. He was wearing a dark gray robe over his clothing with a slight green tint.
"Don't worry. She might seem irrational and impulsive, but she'll learn to deal with this and she is not a little girl who used to stir up trouble all around. She is a mother now. Being a parent forces you to change the way how you perceive the world around you," Adam Brown said in a comforting voice. "How you'll handle the fallout of this incident is a test for you and you, being my student, I have faith in you. You'll do what is best for the people of the kingdom." He asks as he slowly walks away towards the stairs down the tower "and you should go see her."
William standing on a door outside the room struggling to decide that should he knock on the door or not and how will he face his sister. As he took a deep breath and knocked, asking permission to get in the room.
"Yes, you can come in, William," Isabel replies.
William walks into the room slowly lowering his head as he sees Isabel holding her baby in her arm while the baby sleeps comfortably and there's a calm look on Isabel's face.
"Mm, is the baby okay? I mean, well…" William stuttered and couldn't able to ask her sister if she was okay?
"You don't have to feel guilty about what happened. It's what fate has planned for us and he died protecting his family, or that's what I like to believe. No, I am sure he was." She said with a gentle smile.
"But it's not okay for you to act like that and you didn't even cry and suppressed all your feeling. You can let all your emotions out. You are clearly in denial. You can blame me for everything. You can yell at me all you want; I'll take it all. Just let it all out. Think how it'll affect your baby if you stayed like that." William anxiously asked her.
"Please keep your voice down or he'll wake up and you couldn't be more wrong. It's because of our son. I can't do this. If I break down crying now, he'll be sad there. I have to be strong, for my son." She replied, looking at the baby as she smiles gently.
"I'll send Eva, in case you decide to let it all out. I know she can help you get through this better than I can." William replied and turned back and after hearing this he felt heartbroken. However, he also felt relieved that she was handling this much better than he thought she would.
"No, I know she's already feeling guilty and blaming herself. Please tell her I don't blame her in the slightest for what happened. Tell her it's okay, it's not her fault." She asks William as he left the room.
