Chapter 7: Welcome Home

"Well, I ought to have given you punishment but when I checked your past records in the school, I realized that you're one of the best students in the school and you don't make trouble, so I knew you fell down unintentionally, you can go".

I was stunned when I heard the statement.

" How could he just forgive me so easily. Other girls that committed the same crime as I end up being suspended or punished".

"You mean, you're not punishing me any longer?" I asked curiously.

" Are you deaf or do you want me to repeat myself?

" Fine, you have been forgiven. Don't try such a silly act next time." He nodded.

His blue eyes met mine and at that moment, I froze completely.

Gosh!

I'm saved.

I quickly went on my knees and sobbed.

"Thank you, sir, I really appreciate" I smiled sniffing and he nodded.

" I will try my best not to repeat such a mistake".

"You should go back to your class" He muttered and I nodded before walking out of the room.

I smashed my phone angrily to the wall and I gritted in anger.

God!

"How could she do such a thing?

" She doesn't know who she's playing with"

I can't believe that dumb silly girl insulted me, She should be lucky I stooped so low to have a girl like her.

Why does she have to refuse me?

I groaned angrily in anger and one of my guards enter.

"Sir.."

"Get out"

"Draco is here to see you"

"What?"I asked in surprise and he nodded.

I'm not expecting him anytime soon, why's he here?

"Where's he at the moment?"

"He's in the big living room"

"What?, Don't you know he can be easily suspected, Are you that dumb?" I rasped and he bowed immediately.

" Get him here, Quickly now, before the King arrive"

"Okay sir" He nodded and ran out of the room quickly to get him.

Soon, he entered with him and I breathe out in relief.

"Draco, why are you here?"

"I came here to drop the stuff quickly, the cops raided my friend's house this morning, so I can't waste time, I have to leave the country immediately".

"Okay, where's it?" I asked and he brought it out from his pocket.

He handed it over to me and gave me the details about it, I thanked him and he rush out of the room quickly.

I hide it in my drawer and we walk out of the room to get Asher one of my secret workers in the palace.

I stepped out of the aeroplane and the palace guards are there waiting for me already.

Everything was already set and everyone was waiting for my arrival.

The collect the bags from the officials and they led me to the car.

My name is Xavier, The second prince of the King.

My mom is the second wife, I have been out of the country for a couple of years for my studies and I'm done with my studies.

So decided to come home because home is always the best

Finally, I am here to settle down to start my own business and my other plans I can't wait to execute

As soon as I got to the house my mom was waiting for me already.

"Good day mom" I greeted and she hug me warmly.

"How was your day?"

"It was good" I breathed out tiredly and she help me put off the bag.

"So, how was the punishment?"

"He forgave me "I exclaimed happily and mom hug me.

" I told you. I knew you would pass through this"

"Congratulations, you know I told you that he will forgive you even though we aren't expecting it but he forgave you, the prince has a good heart"

"Good heart?

" Of course darling"

"Why did he forgive you if he doesn't have a good heart?

I looked at her again. The Alex I know it's not what she thinks he is. Maybe she doesn't know him that much that's why she easily concluded.

" Always look before you leap," I thought.

Well, that was the least of my worries.

"He went through my records in the school and realized that I'm also a good student, part of the reason he forgave me also.

However, mom, our Annual camp is around the corner and it has been announced yesterday at school, I forgot to tell you about it".

"Oh, How much is it?"

"Two million"

"What!"She screamed and I sighed.

"Where do you expect me to get it from, I didn't even have up to half a million right now, what do we do?"

"I don't know mom, but we can ask dad about it, I'm sure he will give me the money"

"Huh?, I don't think he can give us the money, You knew Jasper and Julian are also in the school, they will poison your Dad's mind"

"What are we going to do? I can't afford to fail my final exams, this is very important to me"

"Calm down, you will pay the money, I'm assuring you that you will pay, okay"She assured me and I nodded.

"When will the paying time elapse?"

"It will elapse in the next two months"

"Common, we still have more than enough time to find the money, don't worry, you will pay"

"Okay mom" I nodded and we both walk to my room.

I stepped into my penthouse and I met Mirabel waiting for me there already.

Why's this girl so persistent?

I told her I'm not ready to date her but she's not ready to let me be.

"Alexander "She screamed immediately she set her eyes on me and rush to hug me immediately

"Hi" I answered perfunctorily and she help me sit down.

"How are you doing?

" How was your day?"She asked staring at me keenly and I sighed.

"My day was fine"

"What are you doing here Mirabel? and how did you know that I'm staying here?"

"I went to the mansion this afternoon and mom said you aren't there but she didn't disclose your location, I just guessed that you will be hereafter all and my guess was right" She finished the last statement with a shrug and I nodded.

"Let's go upstairs, I prepared your bath already"She carried my bag and I trailed behind her upstairs.

Immediately, I got to the room, I was very exhausted. I lay on my bed before deciding to have a bath. I scoffed and flung the towel on my neck and saunter

to the bathroom to have my bath.

Mirabel is the only daughter of one of Dad's business associates in the city. we have betrothed to each other since birth but I have never loved her for once, even though she's very clingy to me, I wish I can cancel the agreement but it was impossible.

She had been dying to see my face, my face behind the mask but I have never for once show it to her, I can't trust anyone, except my mom.

I turn on the shower and I started bathing.

After a long while, I finished my bath and stepped out of the bathroom.

I went to my room and dressed up before stepping out.

When I stepped out, behold she has already prepared my meal.

I hate it when one is too persistent. She's just like a buzzing bee.

"I miss you" She mumbled trailing her hand around my chin.

"Jojo, stop"I mumbled when though I'm not sure if what I said was right.

She walked a bit and stopped in front of me.

" Why are you always this cool and mean in front of me?

"Can't you just allow me?

" Besides, we are betrothed and I don't see the reason why…

"Mirabel" I gnarled.

"Alexander!! she screamed back.

" come on Alex, don't be so…

"Mirable! I snapped, sending a devilish glare at her and she was scared.

"I wouldn't mind throwing you out of here at any minute".

I looked at her again in anger and walked back into my room slamming the door at my back.

She stood there transfixed at the whole drama.

Mom rush to hug me immediately I entered the living room and I smiled.

"My baby" She cooed and I hug her warmly.

"How was the trip, Xavier?

"It was fine"

"You've changed a lot, I really miss you"

"I miss you too mom"I peck her cheeks and the eldest wife, Duri's mom entered the room.

"Good day my queen" I bowed slowly and she smiled at me.

"Aww, my Xavier is back" She cooed and hug me tightly.

"How was your study?"

"It was good"

"Go in and freshen up, the maids have prepared a sumptuous meal for your arrival"…

"Okay mom" I nodded and climb the stairs quickly to my newly arranged room and I went to take my bath.

They marched into the room and arranged themselves orderly in front of me, I light my cigarettes and smoke heavily from them, I pick my glass of wine and sip from it slowly.

"Are you all ready?"

"Yes sir"

"What about the flight?"

"It's all ready sir, we are only waiting for you so we can start moving immediately"

"Okay then, go pack my bags upstairs"

"Okay sir" They nodded and walk out of the room.

After a while, they bring out the bags and drag it out of the room, I followed them and one of them open my car door for me.

"Alex, Here I come"…
