CHAPTER 29

Heidi held Vanity's hand as she led him to the cash register to pay for the shirt. He had overheard what Vanity had said to the other woman, and he had a bad feeling that her kidnapping the previous time was the result of this woman he had seen on the screen numerous times.

It was certainly true that you should never judge a book by its cover. Gwen was no saint, and she was even worse than his new mother.

Gwen dug her nails into her palms while maintaining her smile, making Vanity the bully. What bothered her even more was the fact that Vanity didn't even look back after paying for the shirt, but instead left gracefully.

Gwen quickly left the boutique because people were staring at her strangely. As she walked out of the mall, she noticed something that made her want to strangle someone.
