Chapter 5

Raine's POV

What the fudge? My eyes widen, my breathing quickens and I stare at his face for what seems to be a few days but is probably only a minute, what does he mean by 'Do you wanna go on a date with me?'.

You read things like that in books and you're like, this is so cliché. Of course, the rich, young, handsome billionaire asked the waitress out. This is some stupid ish. That's what I used to think till it happened to me.

You know what? Why the f word should I say no? He's cute, he seems like a nice guy and it's not like I'm having sex with him it's just a date.

''Yes Mr Xavier, I'd love to'', I finally answer with a smile on my face. My Xavier, who was starting to look a bit dejected now smiles, beaming in excitement.

''Let's exchange numbers, we will decide on the details over the phone''

"Okay sure"

We quickly exchange numbers and Mr. Xavier walks away to his table. I go back to work, practically vibrating with the urge to tell my friends. Who would have thought when I woke up today I'd be going on a date with a billionaire?

Xavier's POV

I walk back to the table, smiling as quickly as possible not giving her time to change her mind.

"Judging from that smile, she said yes", Henry says, looking at me proudly. Dragging me back to Earth.

"Yes, she has agreed to go on a date with me," I tell him while paying the bill, leaving a hundred dollar tip. We walk towards the car and the driver drives away, leaving Raine behind.

Raine's POV

I stumble through the rest of the shift, managing not to fall or pour food on myself. I just want to go home and tell my friends and ask for tips... And fantasize of course. How is it gonna be like? Am I going to embarrass myself? Fart? Burp too loud? Pour food on myself? The possibilities are endless.

When the shift is over I board a taxi home.

"Chicas, I'm hoooooome" I sing, prancing into the room.

"Okay, what's going on?" Angie asks, staring at me with her eyebrows raised.

"I can't be happy in this house anymore? What the hell?" I say plopping into the couch and taking popcorn from Angie's bowl.

"Okay, so first, You were early, then you were prancing, then you were singing. You're not even complaining that your day was terrible", Claudia replies making me roll my eyes.

"Something did happen, but I'm not telling you because you've pissed me off. Angie come here so I can tell you."

"Just tell us you annoying creature"

"Sooooooo..." I pause dramatically "someone asked me out"

They both shriek and jump on their feet.

"Who? Is he cute? Tall?" They both fire at me.

"Does he wear glasses?" Angie asks, practically salivating like a rabid dog.

"His name is... Xavier"

"Ohhhhhh, cute name," Claudia says biting her lip.

"Xavier Ramirez"

"He has the same name as this hot, rich dude. He has potential" Angie says dancing.

"He is the hot rich dude," I tell them exasperated.

"Honey, you're not supposed to believe strange men who tell you they're rich billionaires," She tells me, patting my head in disappointment.

"I Googled him. I'm not stupid" I say glaring at her. This isn't what I thought was going to happen.

"Are you serious?" Claudia asks with no emotion on her face.

"Of course I'm fudging serious"

They both shriek again, bouncing around.

"Our friend is going to marry a billionaire."

Now that's what I thought was going to happen.
