Chapter Four

The buzzing noise of my alarm woke me up. I stretched and rubbed my eyes to get rid of the sleep in them. I entered the bathroom,

Washed my face, brushed my teeth and took a long warm bath. I came out wrapped in my aquamarine colored towel. I wrapped my hair in a white towel. I put on moderate make up. I wore a vans shirt with jeans. I stood in front of the mirror and realized that I haven't really had the time to admire myself. I looked at my brunette hair flowing over my shoulder. I looked into my green eyes and saw a bold and confident unlike who I used to be. A smile crept on to my face when I imagined the reaction of the students back at PineView especially Chase Roberts. Even mom and my brothers will be shocked as well. A tear slipped out when I started thinking of my dad. I wiped that lone tear off and put my hair into a ladder braid. I glanced at the clock on the wall and it was 6:58am. I took my luggage and rushed downstairs where I met the others. Luckily, the airport was not far from the house. We could have just used our private airplane or the jet but that'll attract suspicions.

" I'll surely miss this place. " Chess said and I nodded in agreement. Throughout everything, the tension between Sean and I was so thick. You could even cut it with a knife.

"Drey, is there something you're not telling me?" Chess asked suspiciously when the plane took off. I explained everything to her and boy was she excited. .

"You mean you guys kissed?!" She asked a little bit too loudly.

"Can you speak louder? Those on the moon didn't hear you." I said sarcastically.

"You and Sean kissed?" Cole asked. "I knew something was up. It's weird thinking of you guys doing the mushy stuff." He continued and I just face palmed which somehow tempted me to sleep and that is exactly what I did.

"Drey, we're back here." Chess woke me up. "New York here we come' Chess said as we got off the plane.

We drove to my mom's house and I rang the doorbell. Luckily, mom was there. She put on a frown immediately she saw me.

"What are you doing here?" She all but scowled.

" Don't worry. The last place I'd like to be is your house! " I snapped. " I have horrible news but I'm sure it won't affect you in any way. Dad passed away a month ago. " I informed.

" Yeah he called me on his deathbed. He asked to talk to your brothers but I refused so they don't know. Find a way of telling them because I cannot handle how broken they'd be."

" So you do have a heart towards my brothers but towards me, nothing." I ended sadly.

" I hope you are not planning on staying here. I have important guests coming over and I wouldn't want you here." She said coldly.

" I wouldn't even want to stay in this hell of a house. Goodbye!" I said icily as I headed for the door.

"Mrs. Stone how could you?" Chess shook her head at my 'mother'.

"When are you leaving sweetheart?" She asked in a sickly sweet tone.

" RIGHT NOW " I shouted as I banged the door.

When we arrived at the house Blaze, Blast and Martha stay, we were introduced to the workers who were very friendly.

I woke up with so much enthusiasm. I took my bath and carefully applied makeup.

I wore black tight jeans with a crop top which had 'Get lost sweetheart. I don't sell candy' on it. I put on a rather catchy and short black leather jacket. Satisfied with my clothing, I started fixing my hair. I allowed my hair to flow freely over my shoulder. Chess, Cole and I decided we'd use or bikes. I put on my black Nike sneakers and was good to go.

When I walked downstairs, Cole look up at me with a smirk then said

"Damn woman! Are you single?" I just gave him a smirk of my own.

" I'm pretty sure Sean owns her." Chess realized what she'd just done and slapped her hand over her mouth. Knowing how much I hated Sean's name being mentioned, she quickly apologized and I shrugged it off. Come on. I couldn't stay angry at her for long.

" Cole, you're so going to love our school." Chess chirped.

" I'd love to have a picture of Chase's face when he realizes who we are." I laughed at that thought.

" I really can't wait to see how your school is like. It's such a shame that Blaze, Blast and Martha don't attend the same school. " Cole said.

We got on our bikes and rode off to school. The school still looked the same. Nothing had changed. We were going to make the change. Every eye was on us immediately we entered the school. Boys whistled at Chess and I. Those same boys who used to mock us. Girls kept glaring at us whilst trying to charm Cole but he just chuckled. He knew how to handle these girls very well. ' pick a pretty one and send her to your room' he'd say.

I gave him a look which said 'do not even think of it.' He gave me pleading eyes and I stopped to give him a smack on the head.

"Oops sorry." I said as I sashayed away. Chess and I didn't clear our names from the school so we still had our lockers. I saw Andrew coming and I decided to hide but ended up bumping into the one and only Chase Roberts.

"Hey beautiful, are you new here? I could show you the school and we could explore my house." He said as he place his hands on both sides of my waist.

"How about you take your hands off my waist before I break every bone in them?!" I asked fiercely.

"Ooouuuhhh feisty. Where would you rather I'd keep them?" He asked with a wink.

"To yourself!" I snapped. I walked away but it didn't stop Chase from following me. I found Matthew trying to impress Chess.

"Where's Cole?" I asked when I reached where she was.

" Jessica said something about sending him to get his schedule and maybe something more." She replied nonchalantly.

"Why did you let him go?" I asked raising my eyebrows.

"Well I didn't know his mom would be so worried. I thought he was old enough to make his own decisions but maybe I was wrong." She said sarcastically. Chess and I walked to our former lockers and put in the combination.

"How do you guys know the locker combination of those lockers?" Chase asked.

"Well-" I was about to lie when I got cut off.

"Audrey?" A voice called from behind and I turned to see my twin. Jeffrey. "Audrey, it's you." He ran to me and gave me a hug but I didn't hug back. He never called me for the past 4 years and he was expecting me to run into his arms? No way. I'm not that desperate.

"What happened to you? You look gorgeous." That comment from Andrew made something snap inside me.

"What? You mean I don't look embarrassing any more?!" I said with anger evident in my voice.

"Audrey Hannah Stone?" Chase asked still shocked.

"Yes Audrey. Yes, I am back and this time, not as the little girl you used to bully. I might be your worst nightmare." I said as murmurs erupted in the hallway. "Come on Chess, let's go." I said as I linked my arms with hers.

"Chess?" Jeff asked shocked.

We just smirked and walked away from them.
