Chapter Six

"We have a fight on Friday." Blast said as she threw a kick at me but luckily for me, I caught it and flipped her over. "Ouch, that hurts." She said rubbing her butt.

"You need to fix yourself. You said it yourself, the fight's tomorrow." I brushed imaginary dust from my training suit.

"Don't push it. Your dad was the owner of the company and you are currently the owner. Unlike you, Cole and Chess, I ain't no natural." She said with a huff.

"Cole, care for a fight?" I said taking a bottle of water.

"No thanks. Your human being of a friend just kicked my ass and I'm in no mood to get kicked again." He shot a playful glare at Chess and she chuckled.

"Come on Drey, let's show them how it's done." Chess grabbed my hand as we headed for the ring.

"Well, this should be interesting." Cole said and the rest agreed.

Our fight lasted for a long time because we were both fit and awesomely good but finally, I won. I hardly lose a fight.

"I think you just killed me." Chess complained dramatically.

"Come on, it wasn't that bad." I chuckled.

"Easy for you to say. You weren't the one sitting on the floor in the end."

"Now you know how it feels." Cole chipped in with a smirk.

Chess and I grabbed our unfinished bottles of water and gulped them down.

The day went so smoothly and by the time I realized I was drifting off to sleep.

I woke up with my eyes swollen from lack of sleep. We hardly slept the night before. I stretched intending to make the sleep disappear but it was futile. I walked into the bathroom, brushed my teeth, and took a nice warm bath. I put on a nice black dress.

Eyes were on our cars as we approached the school.

"Drey, where did you get that car from?" Andrew asked sternly.

"Err….. somewhere?" I answered awkwardly.

"And don't get me started on the motorcycle you used yesterday

."

"Don't I have the right to save? Besides, those are the only things I got from dad after you inherited all his companies. Might as well get the rides right? After you left me to suffer."

Angelina Jolie and other actresses would readily hand over their acting careers after seeing this. I scoffed internally.

" You sure don't look like someone who's suffering." Andrew snapped.

"Well, that's because my body is allergic to your mom's filthy blood." I retorted. I was being bitchy but mehh. I mean what does he expect me to do? Wear a fucking sackcloth? Hell nah! Brushing that topic off, he asked

"I hope you're not staying with him." He said pointing at Cole.

"Yep. I'm staying with him. Sharing his house, his room and you know what else." I taunted.

"Move out. I'll rent an apartment or something for you"

"You don't decide where I stay or what I do. I'm almost eighteen and you're not my dad!"

"I'm just being a good brother."

"Yeah, a good brother who didn't bother to call his little sister for four freaking years. Forget good, you're the best. Shall I give you an award?" I asked sarcastically. I saw regret in his eyes and for a moment, almost felt pity for him. Almost.

"I'm so s-"

"Sorry?" I cut him off.

"Yeah. I'm very sorry. I hope one day you understand everything and find it in your heart to forgive me." Slowly, he walked away and I let him go. I let him go. I wish I could just forgive him but the cut is too deep.

"Hey pretty, I was wondering if we could be friends. Like really good friends. " Chase said as I was taking my books from my locker.

" Oh really? Keep on wondering then after you're done, you should look for someone your size, not someone who is way outta your league. There's no chance you'd ever be friends not to even mention my list of very good friends."

"Let's forget all about the past. What d'you say?"

"You're lucky you were in my past cause you can't match up with my present." I said with a slight smirk.

"Where did you gain all that confidence from?"

"Thank you" I walked past him. Almost. Just as I was about to walk away, he grabbed my arm and yanked me so my body was now pressed against his.

" There's a party tonight and I was wondering if you'd come."

" Wow. You sure wonder a lot. Are you sure your name isn't Alice and you aren't from wonderland? You should do a background check." I said almost choking from keeping in the laughter.

I pushed him and walked away.

" If you're badass, you should be at the party." He walked over quickly and handed me a piece of paper which I assumed would be the address. Oh boy. This party is so on. Did he just dare me?

"Miss Stone, are you paying attention?" Mr. Hanson, my history teacher asked.

"If I cared about dead people, I would answer with a yes but then I'm not interested so nah." I said as I put back my earphones.

"That's it. Take out your books. We're having a test." We wrote a test and he somehow managed to mark it before the end of the lesson.

I had a nine out of ten and this fact annoyed my lovely teacher.

"Miss Stone, did you cheat?"

"Really? You talk as if you haven't seen my grades from four years ago." I just shrugged and took my backpack. The class was getting way too boring.

"Where do you think you're going?" Mr. Hanson asked as I was leaving the class.

"I'm coming into the class. What d'you think? Of course, I'm leaving the class." I replied nonchalantly.

"Come back here!" His voice boomed through the unusually silent classroom.

"Okay." I left the class and Cole followed suit. Chase also left the class.

"Cole, we have plans for tonight. We're going for a party." I told Cole as we walked through the empty hallway.

"New plans? Party? But-"

"Come on it's been ages since I attended one"

"Sure. But don't lose control like the last time."

"It's not like anything happened. I might have been drunk but I definitely don't go to bed with just anyone."

"Have you spoken to Sean?" He asked out of nowhere.

"No." I answered stiffly.

"You guys should try out the relationship."

"There's nothing to try out." Right?

From then, we skipped the rest of our classes. When the bell went off, I hopped into my car ready to drive off till I heard a tap on the window. I rolled down the glass and was happy to find Chase on the other side. Note sarcasm.

"Can I get a ride home?" He asked.

" No." I said firmly then turned the ignition key.

" Please, my car just broke down."

"You're rich. Don't you have a driver to disturb?"

" Nah fired him when I got my driving license."

I contemplated before answering.

"Oka-" I hadn't finished saying it before he hopped into the car. I drove off in silence making it obvious on my face that I hate his presence but I guess he didn't notice or at least if he did, he ignored it.

"So who's Sean?" He asked and I stiffened almost veering the car out of the road.

"Mind your own business!"

"Why did you lose control the last time you went for a party?"

"If you don't shut the eff up, I'll drop you off here."

"Oh yeah? How many boys have you left hanging?"

"You're a pervert!" I said with amusement in my voice.

"Really? Whatever gave you that idea?" He feigned and I burst out laughing which he soon joined in.

"You know, you're not that bad"

"Yeah and your smile's pretty." He flirted.

" Flirting won't work on me. I flirt myself."

"I don't know you. Do I?"

" Not in the least," I said shaking my head.

" That makes me want to know you."

"Mission impossible tough guy. Only a few people know me."

"You're just raising my curiosity level"

" You might as well send it to space. We're here. Hop off"

"Hey! That's no way to be polite"

"Whatever. See you at the party." With this, I drove off to the house.
