"Don't say that. You're not empty. You're not. You're real."

"But isn't that the same thing?"

"Not at all. Tell me, what is a person? To me, it's just a collection of memories. A person is just a collection of past days. I always think too much about my past. I'm the one who has no personality. Because I still live in the past. When my parents were alive, when everything was good. I'm a person without a personality. And you are strong. You're the strongest person I've ever known. But I'm not like that at all. I am weak. And sometimes even ignorant."

"We are bound by sadness and longing and too many thoughts."

"Everything binds us together."

"And when did you come into my life?" Celeste asked, discreetly touching his long lashes.

"I appeared when you were standing on the edge of the cliff. Do you remember?"

"How could I forget? You also confessed your love to me then. You know, you really frightened me back then. Why did you confess your love to me so quickly? You didn't know me at all, did you?"

"I just felt something inside me."

"That's enough. Say no more." Covering him in a wave of tenderness, Celeste wrapped her arms around him, inhaling the scent of his skin. "You smell nice," she said, kissing the back of his neck.

"You drive me crazy."

"I want to drive you crazy forever," she whispered, and there was something mysterious in her whisper.

"Wait. I want to tell you something," Adelard stopped her before she could remove his jacket. After a few seconds of pondering, Adelard said, "Let's get married as soon as possible. I can't wait any longer. I want you to be Celeste Mars."

In anticipation, Celeste ran out of the room, almost knocking Mary down.

"Be careful!"

Running out into the garden, Adelard caught her and when the thunder spoke its words, they shouted back.

"It's like they're two children. I think we're going to have a second baby now. She's just like our Adelard. I wonder what kind of children they'll have. But the girl is very pretty. Did you notice that? She's very beautiful. Apart from the bruise, of course. I wonder what happened to her? Maybe her ex-boyfriend hit her!"

"I don't like it," Nicholas said and watched happily ever after with fearful anxiety in his eyes.

Falling on the grass, they tried to keep their eyes open. But from the droplets they were unable to do so, thus making them laugh even louder. They didn't care. They were in their own world. And as everyone knows, the world of two cannot be understood by anyone. Turning to Adelard, Celeste, feeling life in herself, said, "Let's get married tomorrow. I don't want to be empty anymore. But I don't want any ceremony. I don't like noise and crowds. I don't want them to see our happiness. It's only our world. And it should be just us."

"You don't want a ceremony? But I want the whole world to see you and your beauty and wisdom. I want to go around the world with you. I want everyone to see you."

"But what's all this for? People always want to do everything to show others. But I don't want that. I'm not used to that. I just want to be with you. And no one has to see our happiness. You know that in this world, happiness has to be hidden."

"You are my pride. My great achievement. How can I hide you?"

"I am yours. Do you really want anyone to look at me?"

"You are mine. That's right. All right then. I understand you. The main thing is that you'll soon be my wife."

Holding hands, they continued lying on the grass until a rainbow connected the two different ends of the town.

"See, even nature is celebrating," Adelard said. "Let's go!" he exclaimed and ran forward.

"Where are you going?"

"I want to see the place where that rainbow starts! Come!"

A clear rainbow, with all the bright colors delighted all who took a break from their business. It was the bridge over which everyone's dreams ran. It was the gateway to that world from childhood that came back every time it rained. And at the sight of such beauty, even the coldest, most wicked man was transformed into an innocent child. For this was the power of nature. And maybe if there were always rainbows, sunny days, fruit and flowers in this world, there would be no bad people. Maybe it was always about rainbows, which connected not only the two parts of the town, but also the hearts of people.

And two lovers could not tear themselves away from each other. They couldn't let go of each other's hands. Greed, that's what was between them. And that greed turned into passion, which Celeste ignited every time they were alone.

On that day, which occupied a special place in Adelard's memory, Celeste, holding the flame of fire in her heart quickened time, and when the sun had disappeared, she opened a whole new world to him.

In the dark room, by the light of a single candle, with the curtains open, on a soft, slippery satin sheet, Celeste tightly embraced Adelard. His sweaty face was distorted by the sweetness of his senses and the pain of the electrical current that was the result of the shortening of his muscles. But nevertheless, his face retained its purity. And with every movement he begged for love to live forever. But Celeste meanwhile, looking at him, lay silent, and only her breathing told her that she was flying high in the sky. Her silence was until she turned Adelard over onto his back. Only now, as her gaze settled on the man's bashful conscience, did she make a sound that made the walls and candle flames and people's hearts tremble.

"You can wake everyone up," Adelard said, covering her mouth with his finger and then that finger disappeared into the embrace of a kiss.

"Let them hear! Let the whole world hear how much I love you."

The love song filled the whole house. The two maids blushed with shame and interest.

And Mary even said, "Come. Maybe we'll see something." To which the other said, "No. What are you talking about?! Aren't you ashamed of yourself? Go to sleep." And only Nicholas sat tensely in the corner of the living room, sadly remembering past days and dreading future days.

To add spice to everything that was going on, thunder began to sing a duet along with Celeste, who had managed to grow wings on her back. The wings behind her back made Adelard doubt that she was human. Suddenly, he felt dizzy again and his vision began to give off different illusions. Celeste's face distorted with pleasure and she, squeezing Adelard's hands, spoke an incomprehensible language, and suddenly he saw before him not her, but someone else. It was the human with Jean's face. His best friend, Jean, was over him and Adelard even felt pain somewhere inside and then tears mixed with feelings of falling. "Jean!" Adelard exclaimed, tucking his face into Celeste's shoulder. "Forgive me," he whispered and at that moment, his voice joined with the thunder thereby changing his innocent image in front of everyone who was home.

"My darling. My treasure. Don't be afraid," Celeste whispered, gently laying him back on the bed. Her hand was still exploring his tender body until her finger stopped in front of a cold tear on his cheek.

"Who am I?" Adelard asked, realizing whose name he had just said.

Love does not tolerate retardation. Love does not live in insecure hearts. Love demands action and less thought. That was the kind of love that was between them and against everyone they decided to make a marriage that would be a fortress for them. With that thought in mind, they met the morning and the first thing Adelard said to Nicholas was to tell Susanne the news.

"Do you want to have the wedding right today?" he asked surprised, holding some letters in his hand.

"Yes. Nicholas I'm so happy!" Adelard said, kissing his cheek.

"You want everything without ceremony? What will your parents think of me? Their only son and no wedding ceremony!"

"Celeste doesn't want any noise. Well, neither do I. I don't want everyone to see our happiness."

"Where are you going?"

"I'll be right back!"
