Back for Her

" Yes sir, I understand I will be there in the morning" I spoke into the phone. My eyes refused to look at Damon's as he sat opposite me. 


My boss made a few final comments before ending the call, leaving me in silence. 


There was an emergency at the office with a very important client and he wanted his best employees there. I had no other choice than to leave now. 


" Hey baby, it's okay, " Damon said coming over to me as my head dropped. I had thought I would get at least a few more days with Damon and the family but there was not much I could do. 


" Get packing and we will drive after lunch," he said as he left a light kiss on my head. I knew that Damon was not being completely honest with me but I was hoping that we were strong enough. 


I did exactly as he said and packed everything into my bags. 


This wasn't the end. We were still both in the same city but it just wasn't going to like it was before. Staying together and just enjoying each others company.
