Chapter 22- Finally

When Amy was close to him, he grabbed her trembling and cold body to his wide chest. He can feel her heart pounding very fast and her loud gasping filled his ears. Phoenix then put her behind him and he bravely and furiously attacked the ogre coming to them. He fearlessly stabbed the ogre's chest and slit its throat, as the monster's blood spread and stained the white floor, it fell on the ground, lifeless.

It was as if he had lost himself because of his anger at the ogre. Realizing that Amy was behind him trembling badly and dumbfounded at the bloody scene, he caught her shoulders.

"Eve! Are you alright?" he asked worriedly, Amy wasn't talking and just crying her eyes out. She was terrified and tired running for her life, her cold hands were holding Phoenix' arm tightly. And seconds later, she passed out.

Phoenix caught her shoulders and thin waist before she fell on the cold ground. He then lift her up to his arms and walked towards his horse.
