Who knows what could have happened if we were all felled by that flash of light." Then, without thinking, he asked, "By the way, what exactly did you encounter in that illusion?"

"Uh..." Leo started twisting uncomfortably on the wet ground, his mind still hauntingly impacted by the numerous spiders that had tried burrowing through his flesh.

The waves of trauma flooded in, threatening to erode his sanity. Goosebumps formed above his skin as he began reimagining small arachnids crawling over his body with their sharp, hungry pincers ready to feast.
