Heated Quarrel

On account of feeling that he owed some compensation for what Leo had endured, Brian didn't bother to decline the request. Needlessly keeping these body parts would only have allowed them to collect dust on his shelves anyway. He'd already obtained plenty enough for his fellow superiors to examine back home.

Although the bank mainly dealt in coins, Leo did manage to learn that mages were granted special privilege that permitted them to store other items besides money inside their personal vaults. Provided that they underwent some inspection first.

Parking Mercury aside, Leo was greeted by some guards stationed in the outer perimeter of the building.

"Halt," one of the guards clad in armor called for Leo to stop. "Proceeding any further requires detailed inspection. You must place your possessions aside and stand for a check-up."

Leo did not attempt to disobey and proceeded to demonstrate the appropriate pretense in such a stringent environment.

"Of course, sir."
