"Lalalalalala~~~" The teenager was singing some random song, lying on the bed on his back. He had nothing to do. He was done with his homework. He had prepared for all of his tests and now he had nothing to do. For him, each second was like an eternity. The time just wouldn't pass by.
He flips on his back, now lying on his stomach, his elbows on the mattress, hands cupping his face, and eyes staring at the tape recorder in front of him. He kept staring at it for a good 5 minutes, which felt like an hour for him.
After staring at it with seriousness. He gets off his bed, picking it up, sitting where he always does when talking to the tape recorder and pressing the 'play' button, the tape rolling, indicating that it had started recording.
"~° Kang Hanjun, Voice Log Day 54 °~"
"Hey. How did your day go by? Actually, you know, I'm always wondering what you do when I'm gone. You just stare at me when I'm in my room. Don't you get bored from watching me and listening to me."
"I mean, I'm pretty boring. I've got nothing to do, nothing to tell. To be honest, I think I would have gotten bored of myself too."
"Actually, I think I AM bored of myself. Is there anything to do? I wanna join the dance club but..... the kids didn't let me join. Should I join some other club?"
After a few seconds of silence. Waiting as if he'd get a reply.
"Okay. I'll join some other club. I'd have to check out all of them then. I have no confidence to join some other when I was rejected by one. But remember, I'm gonna be doing this only because you told me to. I'm taking your word for it. Okay, Mr. tape recorder?"
The boy nods his head a little, a small smile tugging at the ends of his lips.
"Honestly, I was thinking of joining the swimming club too. I do have a medal. I'm okay in swimming. I wonder if they'll accept me. Hmmm.... I think it's better to choose a club with the least members. In that way they might let me join."
"You're right. It does mean lowering my worth and degrading myself but..... I have no choice. It's a little lonely at school..... Well.... not a LITTLE but, It's VERY lonely at school."
"On the first day, I saw everyone talking to someone, smiling to each other, deciding that they're gonna sit together. I was so envious. No one wanted to sit next to me. Still, no one sits with me. Just like last year, before highschool."
"Is everything repeating itself. Aside from one event, everything feels like dejavu. I hope it's just my guts. I don't wanna, ..... *sigh* I don't wanna go through that again. In simple words... it's not good."
"It was hard. Mom and dad helped me and I got through it. Will I be able to get over it again? I wonder."
The brown-haired teenager looks down at the ground, rocking back and forth for a few moments; taking a deep breath and swallowing the lump formed in his throat.
"Hehe, sorry. You must be wondering what I'm ranting all about. I'm sorry I haven't told you yet but, I guess I can't right now. Maybe I will some day but not today."
"I'm afraid that maybe I'd have to see you leave too. Maybe you'd run away too. This world is scary, at least for me. But you promised. You pinky promised so I think I'll be able to tell you."
"Because I can say that I can tell, I'm sure I'll end up telling you but till then, shhh. It's a secret. I hope you're not a curious cat cuz it might end up killing you hehehe."
"Wait- nooooooo. Don't die. Yeah, no matter what. Do. Not. Die. You're my one and only friend. What will I do if you die? I might die too."
"I'm pretty tired so I think I'll turn in early tonight. My eyes feel so heavy. I better go to sleep as soon as I can or I'd have to stay up all night and tomorrow's an oral quiz. Don't wanna be sleepy during the quiz."
"I'll talk to you tomorrow again. Kay? Byeeeee. Take care and Good night Mr. tape recorder. Bu Byee~~~"
"~° This was Kang Hanjun. 14th_March_#### °~"
He presses the 'stop' button, putting the recorder back in its place, changing into his night suit, cleaning up his mess that he made while studying, putting his books back in his bag and plopping down in his bed after turning off all the lights.
