4. Music Room

Alice sprint from the classroom to the photocopying room. The bag on her back felt heavy. As a new student, she had a hard time adapting to class conditions, making it difficult for her to understand the material. Now she running into that room to finish her remaining task. Only she was left far behind from the task given by the teacher earlier.

Arriving in the room, Alice's hand move quickly to take the paper that needed to be photocopied. After that, she finishing the rest of her work there. There happened to be a table and chairs in the room. Usually there are study groups that use that place as their base.

The photocopy room is quiet. There was only Alice and an attendant enjoying a snack while watching. He only occasionally kept an eye on Alice who maybe need help.

Alice finished the task fifteen minutes later. Remembering that the time limit given by the teacher was only a few minutes, Alice run from the photocopying room and running to the teacher's room.

"Oh, you're not late. That's good." said the teacher. "Tell your class I don't accept this assignment anymore. Time has run out."

"Alright, miss. Thank you. Excuse me," Alice turn around, leaving the room.

"Ah this is a relief." she said with a sigh.

Before returning to the dormitory she decided to sit on the ground floor of the school building. There is a school lobby on that floor which is half the size of the male and female dormitory lobby.

Alice looked around her. There were many disciples sitting there. They had serious conversations, studied while listening to explanations via laptops, and some sat alone like Alice.

Since the lesson is over, Alice can relax there. After class ends, there are no strict rules regarding students' schedules. Students are allowed to go out anywhere and return to the dormitory before dinner at eight o'clock in the evening.

Feeling that she had enough alone time, Alice stand up and walk slowly out of the school building. She looking to her left, where the dormitory building was. Her feet almost stepped to walk there but her heart seemed to refuse, turning Alice's head to the right and staring at the extracurricular special building. Alice was stunned for a moment looking at it.

With high curiosity, Alice finally decides to delay returning to the room. She hasn't had time to walk around the extracurricular building area yet. So she use this time to explore it.

In fact, it does not only contain space for extracurricular activities. On the first floor there is a bar and several other entertainment venues equipped with school security. Being there should not linger if it is not a holiday. Although there are entertainment venues, the building is more often called an extracurricular building. The building consists of three floors.

Alice wanted to try to get into the bar but she chooses to climb the stairs to the next floor which again amazed her.

Once set foot on the second floor, Alice was amazed by the design and division of the room. For a moment she was confused about where to start.

While walking Alice took a photo to send to her father. She feels her father should know what the specialty of her chosen dorm is. Don't forget Alice took selfies and videos the second floor of the extracurricular building.

The rooms she visited were the badminton room and the choir room. Although only two rooms but she really enjoyed her time.

Satisfied hanging around there, Alice decided to get off and return to the dormitory. It was almost time for dinner and she don't want to miss it. Even though she hadn't finished entering the rooms one by one, Alice didn't mind it. She could continue tomorrow.

Tap

Alice stops her steps. A glimpse of her eyes read the writing on the room board that attracted attention. She turned and walked to the front of the room door. Music room, the room located at the very end. The room that managed to eliminate Alice's hunger especially when Alice opened the door.

"Alice? What are you doing?" ask Byby who happened to be coming out of the music room.

"You surprised me." Alice said, normalizing her heartbeat.

Byby laughing. "I didn't mean it. I've lowered my voice."

Alice laughing too. "Ah, what are you doing here? Do you like music?"

Byby shook her head quickly. "This room is good for my vlog. Hahaha. I've used the loneliness of this room for my hobbies several times. It just so happens that it's only me inside."

Alice nodded, that sounded good to her. "That's nice."

"How about you? Why do you come here? Want to play music?"

"No. I was just walking around the building and curious about the music room."

"Ah that's right. You don't know the surroundings very well yet." Byby stepped forward, ready to leave. "I'm hungry. Enjoy your time, Alice. Sorry I can't accompany you."

"No problem. You must fill your stomach if hungry. Enjoy your food."

Byby smiled. "Alright, thanks. See you Alice! Don't take too long because the clerk will check every room!"

After Byby left, Alice stepped inside. She stepped carefully with a stunned look at the various musical instruments there. In addition there is a large area that Alice concludes as a resting place for the band members.

Refusing to forget, Alice took out her cell phone and went back to videoing the room to tell her father. The size of the band room makes Alice a little troubled in the video.

"Oh this is awesome!" shouted Alice. Hearing her pretty good voice screaming in there, she shouted again. "May I play this music?"

Because there is no one else, Alice dare to scream and even jump up and down. Her longing for music began to grow.

Alice wandered around looking at a number of musical instruments there. It greatly improved her mood. "Woah! This is all expensive! I haven't touched an expensive instrument in a long time!"

Carefully, Alice fingered each instrument. Observed the cleanliness of every object there and played some musical instruments that she know how to play. Feeling like an insane person, Alice ended her activities. Her gaze shifted to the stand microphone. Slowly her feet came closer.

"Sing." she said slowly.

The smile on her face slowly disappeared. It reappears as a sad smile when remembering an incident. Exactly five years ago. An incident that made her stay away from music activities and busy herself with lessons that were previously only carried out modestly.

The incident also made her confidence wane. Because from that moment on she felt life was toying with her.

Slowly her hand touched it. Dispelling any thoughts of the past, Alice took a deep breath and brought her lips to the microphone. She glanced at the mic cord and finally set on a song to sing.

She turned down the volume of the music on the speakers for fear of being scolded. What if all this can only be use when there is a directive from the teacher? Because not getting information about it will be used as an excuse if someone reprimands her. She can't bear to sing alone in a spacious room that's calming after so long.

Instrumental sounded very pleasing to Alice's ears. She closed her eyes as she waiting for the time to sing.

Tap tap tap

Alice was stunned then turned off the music hastily.

"Oh shit! I was just about to sing!" Alice cursed when she heard the sound of footsteps approaching the music room.

In a panic Alice hid behind a drum that could cover her tiny self.
