"I am not sick, Max. I guess I am just tired, perhaps shopping late into the evening yesterday is telling on me—your father was not specific on when he is flying back home. He said soon, but he said it depends on the nature of work left in London. So it may be another few weeks from today, I guess—" 

"What! Dad is staying away from home too long, and he has always done, it is all about the ministry and not us." Max reacted with a surprised look from Jane.

"I guess, he likes it over there. I am not surprised. He is staying longer—" 

"Not surprise? You should be, Mum. I was in the hospital, Dad didn't show up—" 

"Show up, to do what? Jane flared. "Show up to see how nasty you are or how you brought yourself so low by a whore—" 

"But Mum, I didn't do anything. I told you I was set up and—"
