Chapter 20: Damage

Ysa was going down from her office at Constellation when she saw Mia rushing towards her studio, she wasn't even able to hear Ysa calling her and just entered the studio.

"Mia?" She opened Mia's studio to ask her what she is doing here late at night, right there and then she saw Mia inside the recording booth crying her heart out. It was heartbreaking to watch. Hearing her wimps makes her chest hurt like she was the one who crying. Every sound she hears are just filled with pain.

She couldn't even imagine how Mia even managed to keep this inside of her after 4 years.

This is the first time since the incident that she saw Mia let out her emotions. Yes, you can feel her anger and dismay to what have happened but no pain, it was as if she wasn't even hurt by what the people around her have done to her. She didn't believe it, it was Mia after all.

What they done to her 4 years ago have made both of them to work their best to protect Constellation, because of the greed of some people around Mia, they betrayed her and abandoned her.

Constellation was then part of Viewbay, for some reason that the company have they released Constellation from their funding and moved all Mia royalties to Viewbay. Totally leaving Constellation into the vast waters without a life line. Mia then made a choice.

"Help me build this place Ysa. Free from all greed and power, being true to its purpose, I can't let this young talents to be used for other people's greed, their music deserve to be heard on its purest form"

They were in front of this very building when Mia asked her to help her rebuild this place, Maureen, one of the head producer and sound engineer of Viewbay also left the company and joined them.

Ever since that they the 3 of them worked towards that goal making sure that their young producers and engineers would never run out of deals and projects. Together they manage to make Constellation as one of the biggest studio there is.

But seeing Mia crying like there's no tomorrow make her eyes water too. It was just so heartbreaking, they were together for the past 4 years but she had never even thought that Mia was nursing a big deal of pain for her to breakdown like this. All she can do is watch her friend let out all of the pain that she kept inside.

Ysa can only wait outside and left Mia alone. She knew that the moment she enter that door Mia would then again put up her guard showing everyone she's fine.

She can only think of one reason why this have happened

Mia and Terrence had finally settled their issues.

When she looked again inside the recording booth Mia fell asleep through her tears and made Ysa's chest to hurt more for Mia.

She went out of the recording booth to get some pillows and blanket for Mia.

'You poor thing' is what Ysa's thinking while covering Mia with a blanket.

Hoping that one day Mia can again live without any pain and suffering, she just want them to be happy again like the old times.

One hour have passed but Terrence wasn't leaving. He was just there kneeling in front of Mia's apartment.

Numb, he feels numb and what Mia last said to him kept ringing in his ears.

'The end for the both of us' Terrence can only think of the times that he have wasted, the fact that he indeed took for granted what he had. How bad the decision he have done.

'I betrayed her, hurt her and took her for granted' He knew that he should have faced everything 4 years ago. If he did so what could have been the situation right now?

Terrence then felt the rain pouring down, reflecting what he is feeling inside.

He's lost actually, when he decided to do this, he was hoping to have at the very least have the chance to make it up to her and correct what he have done but Mia didn't even wait for him and just move on.

Completely erasing his chance to even prove himself.

'Just one chance, he doesn't want to lose the most important person in his life'

Right then a hand hold his shoulder and places an umbrella over his head, when he raised his head he saw Max in front of him. Seeing Max's eyes filled with pity and anger, he then realized the weight of his wrong decisions.

He really messed up and he's now paying for it. A very big payment indeed.

"I really messed up right?" he then looked at Max straight to the eyes.

A long silence occurred between the two of them

Max was the first to cut the silence and offered his hand to Terrence.

"C'mon man, you'll get sick if you stay here" then Max just smiled at him "I can't tell you that it will be fine because it is not but I suggest you accept the truth and also move on".

That hurts, it was as if Max is slapping the reality he's in more and removing all the hope that he is trying to build inside.

"I can't, she might have, but I haven't, for the past 4 years, I never thought about giving her up" he stood up with Max's help.

"I really hope so Terrence, I really hope so" then they both went down to their apartment while Max is aiding Terrence to go down, kneeling for almost 2 hours is no joke after all.

'I really hope that you can manage to make it up to her though she's stating the opposite, I want to see her genuine smile and I know you're the only one that can' Max thought to himself.

As soon as they reach their door step, Terrence lost his consciousness because of fatigue.
