Chapter 30: Happiness

Playing in the water made everyone exhausted but nonetheless contented and happy. Most of them were just thankful that they had the time to relax and go back to what they used to do before.

Faux won't just let them wrap up the day without a bonfire on the beach side and as according to him "it will be disrespectful to finish this happy day without a bonfire party" thou everyone knows that it was clearly just an excuse for him to get wasted.

Well, everyone is on the same page with Faux. Even Lance's group forgot that they aren't on vacation but doing their work.

Before leaving HGN this morning most of them are already dreading the idea of spending two days with their 'Evil PD' but much to their surprises, Lance Gregory who did nothing but shout and burst out fire is smiling all day and having fun with Mia. They are all relaxed and change their judgement regarding Lance.

Everyone is already encircled in the bonfire when Mia arrived, she brought down a guitar that she borrowed for the receptionist. Just like how they do it in the past.

She sat down beside her new found buddy Lance and Ysa then she tossed the guitar to Max, their lead guitarist.

"Alright! Now this is going to be fun" Faux announced to the group. He made sure that all of them will be included and no one will be out of place. Including the staffs of HGN,

"Well everyone, I want all of you to just forget about our status and jobs and treat each other like friends! Even after this night!" then he proposed a toast and everyone raised their cans

"To happiness" Faux looked at specific person in the group, he's being sincere, what he wishes is indeed pure happiness for his loved ones that was hurt by the situation they were tossed in four years ago.

"To happiness!" then everybody cheered as they tap each others can.

Max then started playing the guitar that Mia borrowed from the resort's management.

Nostalgia is starting to envelope each and every one of them.

Once in their life they have at least once experienced having bonfire on the beach, having some drinks and having fun with friends.

"Thank you for giving me a second chance" Lance sincerely said to Mia. It was better that they can now talk like regular human beings without the bickering. He was able to get a lot of ideas from Mia, she didn't hold back on her ideas saying that she doesn't plan on changing careers.

"I don't really like having a bad air with someone" Mia then took a sip of her drink.

Lance just chuckled at Mia's current attitude, the more he spends time with her the more he can decipher her personality and attitude.

In his few interactions with her including today have proved that she is indeed a big mood, she acts according to what she thinks with careful consideration at the same time she is not afraid to say a piece of her mind to whoever she came across. She's can be easily be uplifted but she can also be as quiet as a mouse when she wanted to.

One thing that keep bothering Lance is that he can clearly feel a rift between Mia and another member of Luna, Terrence.

He doesn't want to be nosy and ask but he is really curious, she can just interact with the others even to him that she had a big argument just a few days ago, easily made up with her.

"Hey, they are calling for you" Mia snapped at him to get his attention.

His staff is already calling for him, they needed to wake up early tomorrow, and they still need to check one more location.

"We'll go ahead, see you at the office" then he just smiled at Mia and waved goodbye.

Mia just nodded at her.

When the staffs of HGN left them, Faux started to tease everyone, starting with his sister and Ian,

"You too? Just when are you going to stop pretending that you have move on from each other"

Ysa and Ian can only blush from Faux comment, they know that the alcohol is starting to talk.

"Trust me, I can only accept Ian as my brother-in-law, wait starting today I'm gonna call you brother!" then Faux stood up and think for a second "oh! You are already my brother" then he laughed out loud and everyone except Ysa and Ian also laughed.

The two can only secretly looked at each other, they both feel that they still both have feelings for each other but won't say so.

"Hey Faux! Calm down!" Mia said while laughing. She really like the atmosphere that they have right now, it was like the old times.

Terrence on the other hand is happy to see that Mia is with them and having fun. It's been a while since they all gathered together, 4 years to be exact. After their talk a few nights ago, He can now talk freely with Mia and he's happy with the progress that he have right now, as he said before to himself, baby steps.

Everyone started to tease the two but both of them are not saying anything at all, Ysa was just laughing with them and Ian just keep on saying 'stop teasing us' they continued like that until faux focused himself towards another ex-couple, Argon and Maurice.

"Argon, my big brother, let me ask you a question" then Faux went on and sat down besides Argon and placed his arm over his shoulders.

"Why did you let go of such beauty?" then he pointed at Maurice who is silently looking at them. "Can I date her?" Faux suddenly stood up after saying that statement, thou he's drunk he can clearly see Argon getting pissed at him.

"Woah! Chill down brother!" then he laughed again and cling next to Kevin like a kid. "He's angry" Faux stated that caused Argon to just chuckle 'This kid is really crazy'

All of them clearly know that Faux just wanted to make everyone at ease, he is the kind of person that love to have people around him, but he always liked this group of people the most, that's why he also broke when he figured out what happened between Mia, Terrence and Kevin.

It was just sad that they have to drift apart.

"Let's stop this non sense, Mr. Guitarist, if you may?" then Faux faced Max who's currently holding the guitar. Max just laughed and nodded while Faux gets ready to sing.

They spent the whole night singing along to Faux's playlist of old nostalgic songs and passing the guitar around.

'I hope that this will last' and Faux continued to sing on the top of his lungs.

All of them are just happy. Plain and simple happiness.
