Chapter 32: Alcoholic Kiss

Terrence can't sleep, he has too much too much to think about, one of them is sitting right in front of the ocean just dazing into the darkness, enjoying the sound of the waves drinking her beer

'I knew it' Terrence thought to himself, he is aware that Mia also have a lot of thing going through her mind. She going through a lot that she doesn't event want to involve anyone else.

'She could let us help her' but knowing her personality, there will never be a chance that she will even say to them what is going on with her life.

Terrence sat down beside Mia.

No one is talking, just like the old times both of them are just enjoying each other's company. Just enjoying what they have right now.

"Thank you for this day" Mia suddenly broke the silence, it was a day that she badly need, after going through that 4 years of hiatus and working on her own pacing it was hard to go back to the fast lane.

She is getting less and less sleep, the deadlines and the projects that she need to handle not to mention her fix schedule of programs she needs to attend to.

It's psychical taxing but on the other hand, she's already starting to adjust. It was like she was sling shot back to her where she was before and to put it simply she's happy.

Especially today, she felt that nothing had happened before them, like they are still the same.

No pain, no trauma, no betrayal.

"No, Thank you" Mia just smiled at Terrence response, they both know that everyone is now aware of what have happened 4 years ago.

Maybe not the whole story but they all have an idea.

Thankfully none of them are asking her.

"I won't force you anymore to give me a chance for us to go back to what we used to be"

She then faced Terrence, she will be thankful if he will just keep away from her. She need him to be out of the way in order to do her plans in peace.

She doesn't want Terrence to make another choice just for her.

Mia was about to enter Kevin's office when she saw Donna coming out of his office, she was about to talk to Kevin regarding the circulated photos of Terrence and Donna.

She was together with him, when Donna suddenly approached them saying that she was being followed by a stalker.

"Or else Constellation will suffer" She heard it through the door, shock will be an understatement in this case, of all people she never expected Kevin to turn his back on her.

In the past few months after she declined the offer of Great Records to be one of their producers. She noticed that a lot of their schedule as was being cancelled and there has been a decline on their projects, Constellation is already suffering but Kevin wasn't doing something.

"You bastard!" She heard Terrence growl at Kevin, it was really painful to see this happening, the trust that she placed on Kevin's was being shattered.

Betrayal of the person that you treated as family will never be okay. It will always be painful.

Kevin is just laughed at the situation and repeated Terrence's choices "Constellation that Mia loved or see her downfall?"

Hearing that just tore her heart but she can't find the courage to enter the room and stop all the nonsense that Kevin is spewing. Mia wanted every to be a prank of a nightmare that she will wake up on.

"Alright, I'll cooperate with you as long as you keep Mia and the Constellation safe"

Kevin offered his hand to close the deal with Terrence

"You really know how to play dirty" Mia then get out of there before Terrence rushed out of Kevin's office.

That was the deal that made that day but Kevin never kept his words and continued his alliance with Great Records.

A few days after they released the confirmation of Terrence and Donna's relationship, Constellation was cut off by Viewbay then Mia was put on hiatus.

It was the day that destroyed them, little by little.

Creating distance they never thought would be in between them.

"It was my fault, agreeing to this madness" Mia was already carrying the burden the moment they signed for Viewbay.

It was her dream to create Constellation and it was Kevin who agreed to do it.

The others just went on and supported her dream. If she wasn't greedy and let it pass, they could have been the same as before.

Terrence and Mia could have been together now.

"Mia. It wasn't your fault" Terrence then grabbed her hand to assure her "We also wanted this, performing together in front of the crowds"

Mia just looked at him directly to the eyes, she miss him.

Whatever it is that she says, she cannot lie to herself.

This man right in front of him is still the one that she will ever love.

"Thank you" Mia then again drinks her beer

Being at the see makes her calm like, and being with Terrence makes her more at peace.

'If every day could be like this' she thought 'I'll just enjoy this moment and forget everything' and took another gulp.

Terrence is also enjoying this moment with Mia, them alone together, who knows when this will happen again. Especially at these times that no one from them are opening their hearts and saying what is on their mind. Everyone is walking on eggshells.

"I'm just her Mia no matter what" Mia just looked at him straight directly to his eyes and he can only do the same.

"I'll always be forever grateful to you" then Mia closed the gap between them.

It was just a kiss.

A kiss the holds all of her emotions

Her longing

Her pain

Her resent

And her love.

Then she just fell asleep with the help of the alcohol.
