Chapter 24: Pride

Ysa just got home this morning, she looked after Mia last night after seeing her crying in her sleep after rushing towards Constellation last night.

After waking Mia up early this morning for her work, she was able to ask her what happened last night, why she was there, Mia told her the truth, Terrence approached her to talk and she gave it to him.

In the four years of watching Mia hide her feelings it have also hurt her seeing her watch over the man that she loves and do everything in hiding just to protect him.

'Like how I hide my feelings for him', Ysa just shook the idea, she needs to be on top of her responsibilities.

It's true that she still loves Ian.

Their break up wasn't even part of their plan. They both loved each other but it was much needed.

They have to break up if they even want to Luna to debut. Sad truth about the industry.

At first, Ian wanted to hide their relationship but she is the one that doesn't want to. She can't lie and hide.

Downside of her tactless personality, she doesn't want to be a secret, full of price when she was young, she was full of herself that she is not to be hidden that she deserve to be known.

Now she's suffering, Ysa pretty much still loves Ian as she loved him 6 years ago. It was stupid of her to let go of the man that she wanted to be with forever.

When her big brother, Faux have figured out their relationship back in high school, his brother pretty much wanted to kill his childhood friend because he loved me. It was like breaking the 'bro code' that they have established among themselves that they shouldn't date a family member, but she was the one who wanted the relationship to push through.

And it is also was her fault that they didn't last.

Ysa then received a text message for Maurice saying that she needs to come back to the office, there are some people who wanted to speak to her regarding the current status of Constellation's title.

'Aren't they moving so fast?'

She dialed Maurice number

"I'll be there in 15 minutes, tell them that if they want to speak to me they have to wait for me, if they can't then they are welcome to come back next time"

What a great start of her day.

Lance is now at a staring contest with Mia.

He cannot believe the guts of this woman. She is the very first person to scold him this bad, even her mom didn't do it to him.

'She really is something' then he just shook his head and just accepted his defeat. It is true that he was the one who needed her as a cast member of his new program. He needs her blunt personality and popularity.

Despite Mia's hiatus for 4 years, a lot of fans have remained faithful to her, she have constantly released music and have been active in producing music for several artists that she is very close with.

Among the PDs that he have worked with since he started all he can hear for her are all praise. It's just a shame that when he entered the station Mia was already on leave.

When he overheard his staff talking about it, he was beyond ecstatic, right then and there he decided that he needs to work with her.

He thought at first that Mia will also be willing to work with him, he was again a very successful PD.

A very high rating PD plus a very controversial cast member that is missed by the public, it was the perfect formula that have been running in his mind since he have heard the news.

Sad to say, Mia wasn't very cooperative, no power can even convince her, she's not even afraid of anything and was ready to hand out her resignation in just a month after getting back to work.

"I'll assume that you have understood everything that I have said and respect my designation" Mia then cut off the silence and left them on the common room.

"You have my number if you need anything" then she finally walked out of the room.

"Well Lance, I hope you now know that Mia's not the same as other employees" Blake then looked at him. Lance very much learned his lesson. She is not someone he can boss around.

"Yeah, I'm also sorry for the scene this morning, but I just can't believe that someone like her really exist, she doesn't fear anything" He was truly amazed.

"It's just that you are not one of them" then Blake tapped his shoulders "Most of the staffs here don't fear anyone, keep that in mind kid" he then clapped his hands and announced something to the staffs "Alright! Show's over guys, back to your stations".

He was then left alone in the common room.

Mia entered the control room of the news program, she need to fire up her equipment and prepare for the afternoon live programs.

"I've heard the drama happened at the common room in the annex" their switcher Callen also entered the control room to fire up his equipment, both of them entered the station at the same time.

"Yea, he is the PD of the current variety that I was assigned on" she told Callen.

"I only heard about him but I haven't got the chance to work with him, Roy already told me that he was really on top of his head"

"I see, I guess I'll have a hard time with him. He's really annoying to be honest, it was like he can't understand anything at all" Mia was really annoyed with him.

"I can see it on your face" Callen then laughed as he tests the cameras, he start to command the camera directors on the studio just to see if everything's working. Mia also started to test all feeds she needs for the program.

Ysa came back to Constellation and was welcomed by Kevin together with an old man on his back.

She then led her to her office.

"What can I do for you gentleman?" she then guide them to sit down while she also sat down in her seat.

"I am here to make a proposal for you young lady" the old man was the first to talk to Ysa.

"Well, you have to make some introductions first before we talk some business, don't you think old man?" she know them very well.

They are the very people who have done things to Luna.

"I am Sir Francis Jones, I am one of the board member of Great Records"

"I see, so what can I do for you sir?" she is just looking at him directly to his eyes. She can't be intimidated by this man.

Seeing that he is currently accompanied by Kevin only means that they are now making their move again. They want to keep Mia in the shadows. Like what they did 4 years ago.

"Being the current owner of Constellation, I see that business is going good, do you want to sell the company to me dear? Triple the price?" Sir Francis looked intently into Ysa's eyes as if intimidating her.

"That's a very good offer Sir Francis but I think I have to refuse, you see, I am quite happy with my business right now so I have to decline" Ysa can clearly see the annoyance in the old man's face.

There's a reason that Mia choose her to be the owner of Constellation,

"Let me also introduce myself Sir Francis, I am Ysabelle Howard, only daughter of Salazar Howard"
