Chapter 55: Absence

The "after-party" that Faux initiated have become the getting to know each other party of everyone involved, they have known that Argon and Patrick are best friends from college until now, making everyone more at ease with Patrick.

Patrick is also happy with this relationship, bonding with this kids made him realize the worth that was given to him, they are precious, the bond that they have, they might look like irresponsible and crazy on the outside but their every word and every conversation that he have with them that night have answered the lingering question in his mind.

When Mia first brought up Luna in their conversation, she cannot understand why she would still care for the group that she was left of, he didn't know that whole story then but as an observer, he thought that the normal response will be her going solo and just move on with her career.

Then Ysa, came to him with the deal, too good to be true. It was a no brainer on his side to agree, but he knows that once they release that article about Her Last Memories, it will be another battle for this kids and he will make sure that he is there for them.

What made him itch with curiosity is his best friend trying his best to protect this kids with all he can, he witnessed how Argon stood up for his brother and how he loves Kevin.

Back in college, Kevin was Argon's role model to the point that it made him question the sanity of his best friend. He can see that Argon is superior to Kevin on every aspect, the only problem is that

Kevin was a risk taker while Argon was made to take a very sure path.

That's why when Argon approached him just to ensure the safety of the careers of Luna really shocked them.

The Argon that he knows, won't be taking a risk on a group being targeted by a big institution like Great Records. He really went out of his way to do this.

But talking and interacting with them also made him want to protect their dreams and aspirations.

The passion and the innocence they put on their craft really touches the heart of who everyone they encounter. He can see why people adore them, not just because they are all good looking but the feel they give off to their audience and the importance that they give to their fans and followers.

He can feel the authenticity of their personality that resonates to their every song and performance.

Luna, with proper guidance he know that this group can last a life time.

Tomorrow is their first day at their new agency, last night after going home from their sort of after party slash welcome party as Faux called it, he called an emergency conference among the four of them.

They usually do it if they need to sort things out and unite their opinions on certain things they need to act as one, like how they should act tomorrow when they go to Starlight.

"I think we should be humble" Terrence suggested to the group.

It was the only way for them to survive in the new environment that they will be going, they need this to work or else everything else that they have worked for will be for nothing.

"Acting like we are way a head of them will only cause us the chance to adapt and aquiantance the very people that we are going to work with from now on"

"We have to be on our best behavior tomorrow and set aside our personal opinions first, Let's settle in and prove ourselves first before doing anything stupid" All of them agreed to what Terrence and Faux said, if they look at the situation, they might be more experienced but they have to be mature and accept the fact that they are still new to the company hence that others knows its rules and regulations better.

"Alright, we can do this" then Max stretched out his hand in the middle and looked at the other three

"Yup, we are definitely doing this" the three of them can only shake their heads while also reaching out their hands.

"Now we are really doing this again" Ian said while staring at their hand all joined up in the middle,

Back in High School, Mia would always do this asking them to do a cheer as a sign that they all agreed on the matter at hand and like a promise that no one will turn their back on their decision.

It felt childish back then but they did it anyway, now it felt how it should be, it is more a declaration of trust rather that a childish act they once thought.

After doing the cheer, Terrence then looked at the empty space beside him, he can hear Mia's laughter and mocking for she knows that they never liked doing it,

He miss her, seeing her again even just after a few days that she have been gone made him realize that he will only love one woman in his lifetime.

Her absence in his life is becoming bigger and bigger each day and he can feel that their distance is becoming longer each and every day.

He hates it, all that he wants is to be with her, support her in her endevors and seeing her smiling face is the thing he needs to survive each day.

"Oi! You guys need to finish recording tomorrow"

Now he can even hear her voice, Terrence then shooked his head "My hallucinations".

Terrence then looked up seeing Mia talking to Max, his heart is aching to reach out to her but he knows better,

Thou Mia was the one who kissed him first, he know that it was only because of the alcohol, she already made herself clear.

He wanted to fight for his feelings and try to woo her until she forgives him, but among all the people in Mia's life he is the only one who knows her like the palm of his hand.

All he can do now is watch her from a far and be happy for what ever she decides for her happiness.

What matters now is Mia's happiness.
