Chapter 68: Busker and Hamster

He still can't believe it, he thought that it will only be a one-time encounter. That they were not meant to see each other again.

The entire time that Erina was rehearsing, Max can only look at her.

10 years is a long time and Erina is a clear evidence on what can happen in 10 years.

His "Hamster" is a cute and bubbly tomboyish girl, but looking at her right now you won't see a trace of that now.

Nonetheless, she is still beautiful and bubbly.

After Erina's rehearsals, she went and approached Max, neither she can't believe that after 10 years she will meet him again.

"They are already late" Max just keep on fidgeting at his phone, He is already irritated that he have to wake up early.

Why he was here at the Town Center this early in the morning is because of their school project, Sad to say, he was teamed up with Mia and Terrence. Pretty sure that he will be a third wheel to the two.

Among the 6 of them, he is aware that the relationship between those two is beyond friendship, all of the people around them know about it, maybe beside the two of them.

Mia and Terrence are just so used and comfortable with their relationship that it will really take them a while to realize their feelings for each other.

Max then sighed "I also want a girlfriend" then as if on que, his phone rang, it was Terrence.

"Max! I don't think we can do the project today" he suddenly twitched his eyebrows in annoyance

"What the hell?" then Terrence just hanged up on him, Max just stared at his phone in disbelief, they just stood up on him without any reason.

[Mia's being dragged by her sister to a blind date, I'm going to come with them]

'Now that's a valid reason' he didn't reply to Terrence's message and just shoved his phone to his pocket.

He just sat down again at the waiting shed. "I don't want to go home" but then he has nowhere to go.

Max isn't just the type to roam around, he actually hates being outside.

"Do you play the guitar?" A girl who is around his age approached him and asked about his guitar, Max loves his guitar that whenever he goes outside he would bring it and have it checked or something at the workshop where he and his friends would frequently go.

"Yeah" then Max finally got a full view of the girls face, she looked like a hamster, a very cute hamster.

"Can I ask you a favor?" then she sat down beside Max and he could only follow her movements

"Sure do" then he can see that her eyes suddenly glittered and that shocked Max, 'She have her charm'

"I always wanted to try busking but I can't learn the guitar at all" then she clasped her hands together as if pleading "Please?"

'Well I don't have anything better to do so why not' then Max grabbed his guitar and stood up "Let's go" then he smiled over to her and she just flashed a big smile for him and dragged him somewhere.

They arrived at a park near the station, it's only 10 in the morning so they are not a lot of people.

"Do you want to hang out for a while? Just to get more people?" She suggested to him the height difference on them is quite big

Max stands at 183cm while this girl is around 164, she is perfectly just around his shoulders.

"Sure, I am getting hungry" so they went and go to a fast food and ate together.

Both of them started to share a part of their lives except from their names.

It is already 5 o clock when they decided to find a spot for their busking, the entire time they kept on talking about their likes and ultimately what song they would perform.

"I think it will be better to do it near the river park" then they started to head there, Max can see that this cute hamster is still nervous about what they are going to do but he knows with the few hours that he have spent with her that she would do great.

"Hey! Don't be nervous okay? I'm here" then he gave her a comforting smile

"Alright Busker! We can do this"

"Busker?"

"Yeah! Because were going busking" then she flashed her a peace sign and started running towards the atrium.

Max can only smile and shook his head.

They started performing and a lot of people had gathered near them.

Her voice is really beautiful enough to make the people listening stay and watch them perform

She went near Max and said the final song would be her rendition of Beautiful Stanger by Halsey, thankfully Mia was playing this a few days ago at their classroom so he knows how to play it.

"Okay" then he gave her an okay sign and started then play

She looked at him with tender eyes before facing the audience and started to sing

Max can only stare at her as she was singing, he started to think that this was actually the first time that he have spent an entire day with a total stranger

As they she gets so immersed in her performance, Max is slowly getting immersed in his thought on why fate had brought the two of them together in this position and just kept his gaze towards her

'You are indeed a beautiful stranger that found me' and with that thought Max enjoyed the very last moments of their performance, Max is already constructing his words after their performance.

Right after the song, she immediately looked at Max and smiled so broadly to him, a smile that is enough for his chest to warm up.

Before she could even reach out to him, her phone rang and he said that she should answer it.

"He---"

Before she could even finish her sentence she fell into silence and little by little panic is taking over her face.

After the phone call she immediately said her gratitude and goodbyes to him

Max couldn't even say thank you in return.

"I don't even know you're name"

He just packed his guitar and started to walk home, hoping that maybe fate will make them see each other again.
