Chapter 79: Pre-set and Conditions

Today felt different.

Terrence looked for Mia after their recording but when he found her she was already busy in her work station. He finally got the courage to pursue and insist but he knows that if he would disturb her right now, he might not get the results that he was hoping for.

'I'll just go back later' but he promised to himself that this day won't end without ending this rift between the two of them. It just have to end, whether it's a good one or the other way.

"Did you see Mia?"

He went back 3 hours later but Mia's studio is already empty. He bumped into Ysa who is currently holding a lot of paperwork.

Ysa just looked at him with full of resentment,

"The Creatives decided to have an impromptu Team Dinner"

"You didn't join them?"

Terrence put up an innocent look and asked Ysa.

Ysa can only glare at Terrence's question, because of the changes they have in management, she is beyond busy and wouldn't even see Ian whom she misses so much.

"If you would finish this paperwork then I'll go and join them right now" Ysa just left Terrence and entered her office.

Terrence just shrugged of Ysa's tantrums and decided to just wait for Mia by the lamp post near their residence.

'As long as I could talk with her' He will not let this day finish without even talking to her.

Today felt different, He knows that finally, Mia is trying to accept his existence once again, but whatever results he might get today.

It is an all or nothing move for Terrence.

He can no longer linger in the past because of his guilt, he need to do something in order for him to live or else he'll just end up living like a zombie.

Not only Terrence, but everyone involved in that ill incident that happened.

The moon was shining brightly in the clear sky, Terrence was staring at it, captivated by its beauty.

It reminds him of Mia who always love to look at the night sky

"You can always see a lot more in the dark rather being in the light"

Before, he kind of understood what Mia meant but throughout the past 4 years, he was wrong.

Being in the situation his is in, he have seen what he had and what he took for granted.

He also saw what he remained.

Terrence continued to adore the moon when he finally shift his gaze toward the person who is currently looking at him.

"Mia"

She is finally in front of him, he smiled at the relief of seeing her again face to face like how they used to be.

His heart also started pounding when Mia also kept her gaze towards him.

He wants to go and run towards him but something is keeping him from doing so..

Fear

He is afraid that he might do the same mistakes again, that he might forget what he did and hurt her again.

Terrence have been comfortable with the distance that they have over the years that a mere step forward is making him hesitate

'Please give me that smile, the smile that used to be mine'

Another round of silence enveloped the two of them together

It was another choice that Terrence have to make, but he clearly knows what he have to do.

One step.

Terrence took that one step, then another and another.

He was walking towards her and then she ran towards him jumping into his arm crying like a child.

Tears silently escaped Terrence's eyes and just smiled softly. It feels like home, having Mia again in his arms, It was a feeling that he almost forgot.

A feeling that he won't give up from now on.

"Everything is fine now"

"I love you"

Mia wasn't able to answer him, she passed out in his arms.

"This girl really" then he just lifted her and started walking home to their residence.

A car passed through them when they are near their residence and Ysa went out of the car, she saw the state that Mia in and started to panic.

"What happened to Mia?" she wasn't able to control the tone of her voice that send a worry to Terrence.

"She just passed out after crying so much" Ysa didn't pry to what have happened between the two of them, it is more important that Mia got checked first.

"Let's bring her to her apartment" then they went up and lay Mia to the bed.

"What is wrong Ysa?" Terrence asked Ysa with full of worry, he sensed the something is going on but Ysa ignored her question and went out again to call someone.

They both waited in silence, Terrence wanted to ask something but decided to wait until Ysa answer his question.

"What happened?" Argon entered the apartment with another man, he looks like a doctor that alerted Terrence more.

As the doctor checked Mia's condition both Ysa and Argon waited with full of worry over Mia while Terrence was still puzzled with the situation and worry is also creeping in.

He mind is already going far, he is thinking what could have been worst.

'Is Mia's sick?'

"She's fine for now but she have to go to the hospital for further tests." the doctor then faced Argon, "It hasn't been that long since her last attack so we have to be sure to keep it under control, make sure that she pace herself and to take her maintenance" then the doctor bid goodbye.

Argon see him outside and he just waited there struck with a lot of questions. His brain is having so many ideas.

"Can you answer what is happening? What is happening with Mia?" Terrence asked the two of them as soon as soon as Argon got back, Ysa can only look down and sigh deep.

This is what Mia is afraid of, they both don't know how to answer Terrence's question but at the same time they cannot hide the truth especially what happened tonight.

"Whatever it is that you are thinking is correct, she is sick, Brain Tumor"

"Then we should -- "

Ysa just shook her head, "It's too late, we already asked her doctor and already asked for other's opinion"

"Mia's time is limited"
