Chapter 1: Little Garden!

It was early summer, and two teenagers were enjoying the sweet fragrance of early summer on a random river bank in Japan: a girl with white hair that reached her back, scarlet eyes, a light complexion, and a petite figure; and a young man with blonde hair that spiked downwards in all directions and a set of purple eyes. The girl wears a pair of pink headphones with white straps and a lightning logo on each side. Underneath a black blazer with white accents, she wears a creamy-white hoodie on top of a white collared undershirt with a black ribbon on its collar. She also wears a blue pleated skirt with frilly ends. The length of the skirt reaches her knees. She wears white thigh-high socks and black sneakers. The girl's name is Ichigaya Shiho.

While the young man next to her wears a pair of white headphones with black straps and a flame logo on each side. He wears a dark blue gakuran and keeps only one button in place. The rest are unbuttoned to reveal a yellow undershirt beneath the uniform. The boy also wears pants of the same color, and a pair of tennis shoes with black, white and gold tones. The young man's name is Sakamaki Izayoi.

You may be wondering who is the girl? She is a reincarnated one from another world, her eyebrows can be seen twitching every second and it's because of the loading bar that was in front of her view that only she can see as it shows 99.8%.

In the light novel/anime series Mondaiji, there are 'Gifts'. They are special abilities used by the inhabitants of Little Garden. Having such abilities is one of the reasons for individuals being called to participate in the gift games. A person can have one gift intertwined with their soul and an unlimited number of other gifts.

When Shiho reincarnated here, she was in the same orphanage as Izayoi, which made them childhood friends, but the thing is, she did not have special abilities like Izayoi, and when she woke up one day, she was greeted by a loading bar that showed 1%. Nonetheless, that didn't stop her from training to become strong as she didn't want to die early. Many years have passed, and now the loading bar is finally finished.

Shiro's POV

I am just an ordinary high school girl when I reincarnated here in the universe of Mondaiji Tachi. I do not have abilities like Izayoi but our relationship is similar to that of a brother and sister, because I am younger than him he's always protective to me which I am thankful for.

I did everything I could do here like training my hand to hand combat and swordsmanship since there is a chance that I will get called to Little Garden too. Well if I have a gift but I have none, so the only saving grace I have is this loading bar that was in front of my view.

Right now I am waiting for this loading bar to finish as I have been waiting years for it and now it finally reached 100%!

If I remember correctly, a Dragon is one of the strongest races in Little Garden, Azi Dahaka, who is one of them even managed to be a Last Embryo. Then I receive this gift? Doesn't this automatically make me an overpowered existence, I mean, embodying the concept of 'End'.

'Doesn't that make me a Last Embryo level entity right off the bat...' I thought with a sweat dropping in my forehead. I turned my head around to check what Izayoi was doing and noticed that he was glancing at the river where voices of a group of delinquents are standing around while wearing long coats with "Fighting Spirits" written on. In the middle of them, was a boy being beaten up by them and forced to kneel and apologize. Well, Izayoi can take care of that...now what abilities does the 'Gift' have.

I glanced back at the translucent screen that was patiently floating still in its place.

Fire Immunity - immune to any kind of fire.

Anti-Dragon Element Immunity - Abilities that are harmful to dragons does not affect you.

Astral Form - You can instantly turn into an astral form with just a thought.

Dragon Form - You can transform yourself into a giant Western Dragon with grey colored scales.

Another Cosmology (Devourer of Creation) - An eastern dragon with cyan colored scales it has the length of 30 meters tall, it can eat anything that the user wants, even if it is, stars, worlds, dimensions, universes, divine spirits and gods. It can also eat an entire existence that also exists in parallel dimensions, different timelines and worlds of a target that can only be killed by doing that. 'Isn't this a bit too overpowered...? I can just literally snap my finger and then boom all of the enemies here will cease to exist!' I sweatdropped at the gift I have received from the so-called Supreme God, just who the hell will gift a power that can end All of Creation to a random mortal?

Oh that's all... Well it's not like I'm disappointed that I didn't get a power to create something! Totally not disappointed at all! I was brought out of my own world when I heard Izayoi started talking to the group besides the river who are obviously meters away from us.

"Aah, I'm bored. Really bored. If I could sell my boredom, I am confident that I could make a living from it. Hey dumb looking fools over there, how about you provide me some entertainment and I will reward you a nice long-term vacation at the hospital"

"Iza-nii... you know that they can't hear you right?" I said while staring at the group as he just smirked at my words which I didn't notice, I glanced back at him and saw him picking up a few palm sized stones from the ground. He turned around as he started throwing it at them while yelling,"Let me in on the fun too!"

The impact of the stone blew away the whole riverside. That's not a figure of speech I remind you and there's no need for rectification.

The stone flew at the stupidly high speed of Third Cosmic Velocity, that blew all away the delinquents, the boy and the riverside alike.

"Iza-nii...." I muttered as I sweat dropped at the destruction of his attacks made as he continued to throw stones at them accompanied by a laughter, and left upon a craters just like a bombardment would. All of the boys ran away terrified.

"Hahaha! Pathetic! Is 'Fighting Spirit' only on the back of your coats!"says Izayoi while holding his stomach and laughing as we watched them run away as he kept rolling around and stomping on the ground.

"The Irony is strong with these people..." I whistled as I stared at the fleeing delinquents. As I was about to stand up, a hand was suddenly placed on top of my head and ruffled my hair.

"Don't do that!" I slapped his hand away as I fixed the mess he made on my hair, I looked at him and saw him chuckling before suddenly switching to a bored expression.

".....Boring" he said as he expressed his deepest feelings and turned his back at the riverside.

"Totally." I replied while staring at the clear blue sky and see something being carried by the wind. A two sealed letters was being carried by the wind and after following a very unnatural trajectory, carried their self towards mine and Izayoi's bag, like a thread through the hole of a needle.

"Bullseye, the Queen have a good aim..." Whistling I took the letter that entered my bag and smirked, "It's starting..."

(3rd POV)

The two took out the mysterious letter, as the recipients names are written well on the envelope.

"To Sakamaki Izayoi-dono."

"To Ichigaya Shiro-dono."

The garden was noisy from the loud chirping of cicadas.

"Enough of this! Silence!" Kudou Asuka yelled towards the garden and suddenly there was silence.

(Asuka is a fair-skinned young girl of average height with long black hair that she keeps tied back with two red bows, and bright blue eyes. She wore a long-sleeved white shirt with a yellow bow tied around the collar, a knee-length black skirt and a pair of black heels.)

The crowd of cicadas stopped chirping all the same time, as if they had rehearsed it beforehand. It seems that Kudou family's Ojou-sama words are more important than their activities.

Without finding this odd, Asuka continued walking through the well maintained mansion's corridors at a fast pace. She wondered why, that even though this place belongs to one of the five biggest conglomerates in Japan, it didn't have air conditioning in the hallways.

She entered her room, wiping the glistening sweat off of her hair. She made sure to lock the door and then threw herself on the bed, which caused it to shake from the momentum. Looks like Asuka was not satisfied with just that, so she bounced one more time.

"So my relatives are having a meeting about the dismantling of the conglomerate? I did not expect that they would call me to the farthest corner of Japan just for this reason."

To put an end to a meeting that has been going on for months already, she was dragged before the Head of the Family. The family Head was already bedridden, but his authorative voice was still widely feared and respected.

To be honest Asuka was speechless when her relatives came to her pleading,"Please do something about him!" asking a girl, barely 15 year old to resolve the situation.

The still dumbstruck Asuka travelled to the family Head's mansion and said to him only one short sentence.

"Stop complaining and cooperate with the dismantling of conglomerate!"

"Understood."

The family Head agreed without a single complaint. It didn't even take 10 seconds and it couldn't even be called a meeting anymore at that point.

Without waiting to see if it really led to a real conclusion, she immediately left the mansion. Even the relatives who were expecting this outcome could not help but doubt their eyes and ears.

As the relatives would put it, everything that the Kudou family's Ojou-sama says will happen without fail. It's not like there is a rule about it , anything that Asuka says will happen, just like that. They claim it to be a powerful suggestion, hypnotism, or even brainwashing, but she did not agree with any of them. Since she just says what she think out loud.

No one can go against the flow of the current society, so there was no choice but to dismantle the conglomerate. Asuka tried reassuring herself with this thoughts.

".....Ludicrous, even against that Ojii-sama, this is all it took. It is laughable, really." Asuka muttered as she grasped the bed sheet tightly, while lying her face down. That was what really bothered her. Relationships where the only answer you hear "Yes" are plain and without substance. To put it simply Asuka could only build meaningless relationships, and she was tired of those meaningless relationships.

"...It is hot, what is with this humidity?"

Asuka's eyes wandered around the room, suddenly fixating on a suspicious sealed envelope that was left on the desk.

The following was written on the envelope:"To Asuka Kudou-dono."

Asuka tilted her head. She immediately glanced at all the possible entrances, the door, the window, and the secret emergency route, but they were all locked and none of them shows any sign of being opened. At that moment, someone knocked on the door and a maid's voice can be heard.

"Asuka Ojou-sama, I brought some refreshments-"The maid was interrupted by Asuka,"You there, did someone entered my room while I was gone?"

The maid was confused by her questions but still answered,"...? Only Ojou-sama has the key to this room, therefore no one could have entered."

"Right... that is true. It is fine, you can leave now."Asuka said as the maid bowed politely and then left the room. She rechecked all the possible entrances but none of them appeared to have been used. Which meant that it should have been impossible to leave that envelope in this room.

"...Fufu. I don't know who you are, but a 'sealed room letter 'instead of a 'sealed room murder'... I like your style."Asuka muttered to herself as she even forgot about the blazing heat and for the first time in a very long time, a smile appeared on her face. She joyfully broke the seal on the envelope.

The autumn rains had ceased and the momiji leaves had started falling. Yō Kusakabe was making preparations in her room to go sightseeing before the leave lost their color. She was preparing to put her kimono on when a calico cat ran to her feet.

"So-something very strange happen Yō-ojou-chan! A letter addressed to you fell from the sky!" The calico cat said that confused Yō.

"...From the sky?"

For your information the calico cat was just a regular cat. The one special in some way was not the cat it was in fact, Kasukabe Yō. The calico cat pushed the letter into her hands while trying to climb up to her shoulders.

"Don't misunderstand, Ojou! I am not kidding at all! The letter really fell from the sky!"

The cat sounded like he was making excuses, so she gently patted his head and lifted him up while showing a slight smile.

"I believe you. You're telling the truth."

She said while smiling gently. Her tone was calm and soothing. The cat calmed down for a moment then became very interested in the contents of the envelope, so he started looking pleadingly at her.

"Ojou, please open it already, I will lose all my fur from anticipation."

"After I get back."

Yō then put the cat and letter down and continued putting her kimono on. But the curious cat could not leave it at that. Once again he tried to climb up her clothes with his claws open saying.

"Ojou~! Let's read it now~! Don't bother with this kimono now, after this-

*Rip*

The unpleasant sound of fabric tearing could be heard. She looked down fearing what she might see, and in fact on the other side of the kimono, all the way down has a long tear.

"...."

"O-ojou....!"

Yō was just standing there stuck with grief. It was a scarlet, long sleeved kimono, with momiji leaves as a decoration. This one was her favorite. This kimono was a seasonal wear, so if she can't wear this time around, she wouldn't be able to till next year. By the looks of the tear it would take some time before it's repaired.

... It's a real shame. She didn't know how to express it.

"O-ojou... I was- I was just...!"

"It's ok, don't worry about it. Can't do anything about it now."

Yō then changed back to her normal clothing, a sleeveless jacket and shorts. Then she took off her hairpin and broke the seal on the letter brought by the calico cat.

"What is it?"

"..."

After breaking the seal on the envelope that fell from the sky, she stared at the letter for a long time. The curious cat climbed up her shoulders and started reading the letter.

"So this is the feeling of dimensional hopping huh..." Shiho mumbled to herself before producing a large brilliant gold flames on her back that formed into a pair of phoenix wings that threatens to burns anything near her which surprised Izayoi besides her.

"Wha-?"

"Kya-!"

The scenery changed before their eyes without any transition. Suddenly, they found themselves 4000 meters up in the air. Even while suffering from the pressure of falling(except Shiro), the three all had similar thoughts about the situation and said mostly the same words.

"Where the heck is this!"

An entirely foreign scenery unfolded before their eyes. At the horizon, a steep fall could be seen presenting an abrupt ending to the world. Under them was an unknown fully covered city, so huge it confused their sense of scale.

The world before their eyes was an entirely different world.

The three dropped to the water and surprisingly the drop didn't hurt at all even though they were dropped from the sky which was really high with the exception of Shiro who landed at the ground with her face first.

Everyone started to get up from the lake, quickly as possible, while Izayoi quickly checked if Shiro was alright before drying himself.

"Shiro are you alright?" Izayoi said as he picked up Shiro who was still dizzy because of the fall, after a while she snapped out from it and nodded her head.

Asuka suddenly spoke, "U-unbelievable. How could they just drop us from the sky like that? We would have died if we didn't land in the water." she said while squeezing the water off from her clothes and hair.

"Yeah, you're right. It could've been game over for us." Izayoi replied as he started drying himself.

"Eh? That didn't hurt me at all..." Shiro muttered before emitting a hot temperature that is enough to dry herself as the other three who saw what she did stared at her. "Okay, okay, I get it." The newly turned dragon, sighed exasparatedly, before setting the three on fire which caught them off guard but seeing that they doesn't feel anything at all they just focused again on their clothes which was now completely dried.

"Where is my thanks?" Shiro asked as she started dusting herself while the three expressed their gratitude.

"Hmm.. who are you guys even? Do you also have some kind of ability?" Izayoi asked while ruffling Shiro's hair who slapped it again as she fixed her hair.

"Can you not address me by that way? My name is Asuka Kudou." The ojou-sama looking girl replied haughtily before introducing herself in a way which suits her image and added, "Don't forget it. What about you the one with the cat."

" Yō Kusakabe."

"I see. Nice to meet you, Kusakabe-san. how about you white haired girl?"

"Ichigaya Shiho, nice to meet you!" Shiro cheerfully introduced herself as Asuka nodded her head.

"Nice to meet you too, Ichigaya-san. Finally, you with the uncivilized and savaged looking appearance over there?"

"Wow, thank you for that pompous self introduction. I'm just as the appearance suggests - uncivilized and savaged looking, Sakamaki Izayoi. I'm rash, ruthless and hedonistic so I've got anything necessary to be classified as a terrible person, taking any more than prescribed amount may lead to nasty side effects, Milady."

He said while looking at Asuka with a glint in his eyes.

"I'll consider that if you write me an instruction manual."

"Is that so?*laughs* I'll make one soon, so you'd better be ready."

The two had a glaring contest after the introductions, as Yō was staring at the two indifferent while Shiro was looking at the surroundings enjoying herself at the sight of another world but she already sensed the one who were hiding so she decided to wait for the three to ask for the guide which they already knew.

In the nearby forest, a girl with bunny ears watched the whole thing happen and hid behind a bush.

(Uwaa, all of them seems like a problem children!)Kuro Usagi thought as she watched them from the shadows.

"So, I guess we got invited, but why isn't there anyone to greet us? In this situation shouldn't there be someone explaining about that 'Little Garden' that was written in that invitation?" Izayoi said as he now started getting irritated.

"You're right." Asuka agreed.

(I guess it's about time for me to show up!)Kuro Usagi though, trying to stand up and walk out. She giggled at their conversation.

"Ehh, why don't you ask that person over there?" Shiho said while pointing to the bush. Kuro Usagi panicked as she hid again. She didn't expect someone to see her at all. Their eyes gathered where Kuro Usagi is hiding.

"Oh, you also noticed?" Asuka replied to Shiro while looking at the bush where Kuro Usagi is hiding.

"I sensed her, Iza-nii should've sensed her too."

"Of course. I've never lost at hide-and-seek unlike Shiro over there."Izayoi said while smirking as Shiro got a tick mark on her forehead.

"If they stand upwind, I know even if I don't want to." Yō said.

"Oh? You're an interesting one."

Said Izayoi laughing, but his eyes did not seem happy. In retaliation to the unreasonable assembly they suffered, they looked at the bush with a cold and menacing gaze except for Shiro who was amused by the situation.

"O-oh my please don't glare at me like-"

"Okay, if you won't come out from there then it can't be help." Izayoi muttered as he jumped up to the bush making the ground break and a nearby tree fall after landing. Black Rabbit dodged it while screaming with hands up. Izayoi looked at Black Rabbit's direction and was surprised.

"Finally a real bunny girl! A sexy one at that!" Shiho said while looking at Kuro Usagi with sparkling eyes that made her shiver.

(I want to feel her ears!) Shiho thought as her hands started moving in a creepy way.

"What's that?"Asuka asked

"Cosplay?" Yō muttered in confusion.

"N-no! I am not a cosplayer!"

Izayoi started to jump again to Black Rabbit making her dodge again by doing a backflip with her hands as support and landing on to a tree's branch. She sighed in relief but she sensed Yō to her left on another tree's branch and started to chase her like a cat.

She bounced away like a rabbit from a tree to tree. After a couple of seconds chasing, Asuka walked near them and raised her hands and said,"Birds, seal her movements!" after saying these words all the birds nearby started to gather around Kuro Usagi who was in the air. Kuro Usagi started to panic and tried to flap her hand to fly but she couldn't do it.

Shiro walked near them as she produced flames that turned into chains as they wrapped around Kuro Usagi's body and made her fall to the ground.

(W-what is with these flames!?)Kuro Usagi thought as she sensed the danger of the flames as everyone started to gather around her.

"What is this?" Izayoi asked while staring at Kuro Usagi.

"A bunny girl!" Shiho exclaimed as she was now preparing to feel Kuro Usagi's ears which was noticed by the said bunny girl.

"A rabbit-human hybrid?" Asuka muttered.

Kuro wanted to back off a little but she can't because of the chains made from golden flame was preventing her to move.

"P-Please calm down, everybody."

She plead but Yō and Shiho suddenly appeared behind her with their hands grabbing each one of her bunny ears. Yō pulled it up while Shiho started to feel them softly.

"GYAAAA!! W-Wait a second! We've only just met! Why would you pull on my ears right away!?"

"Curiousity." Yō answered her with a grin which she hid with her free hand and Kuro Usagi was crying and tried to free herself from the grab but she can't because of the chains. A few moments later Yō pulled her hand away along with Shiho who was also now satisfied.

"Soft!" Shiho exclaimed while nodding her head.

"That's crossing the line!" Kuro Usagi exclaimed.

"Oh, so these rabbit ears are real?"Izayoi asked as he grabbed Kuro Usagi's right bunny ear.

"Then me too." Asuka grabbed Kuro Usagi's left bunny ear and both of them started to pull it to themselves making Kuro Usagi's head flail left and right. Yō and Shiro just stood in front of them and watched Kuro Usagi's suffering.

"W-wait! My bunny ears are... GYAA!!!"

She screamed making the birds fly away then she rested a little bit in despair while Izayoi, Asuka, Yō, and Shihp found a place to sit.

"*huff*U-unbelievable.... *huff* This must be what it's like in a disruptive classroom." Kuro Usagi exclaimed while panting as the chains binding her disappeared.

"Just tell us what's going on already."Izayoi said to Kuro Usagi.

"Okay." She answered with a tear in her eye.

Kuro Usagi pulled herself together, cleared her throat, spread her arms and started speaking.

"Is it really alright to start you four? I will start right now! Welcome to the World of Little Garden. We summoned the four of you to grant you the privilege to take part in Gift Games, in which only those with Gifts of their own could participate."

"Gift Games?" Yō asked.

"Indeed! You probably noticed, but none of you are ordinary humans-" Kuro Usagi was cut off by Shiho.

"I'm just an ordinary one though..." Shiho replied with her arms behind her head while whistling. "As if a normal human can produce that kind of flames..." Izayoi commented with a smirk while remembering the feeling of the flames that the girl released earlier.

"Shut up Iza-nii." The white-haired girl immediately told her older-brother to shut up, who just chuckled at her words.

"Why are you calling him 'Iza-nii', when you clearly don't look alike?"Asuka asked while the two looked at her and said,"I/He took care of her/me when she/I was brought to the orphanage."

Asuka nodded her head seemingly accepting the explanation, while Shiho looked at the stunned Kuro Usagi and said, "You can continue where you left off."

Kuro Usagi pulled herself together and continued, "Those extraordinary abilities you possess are blessings you could have received from various deities, demons, spirits, and stars. Gift Games are events for those with Gifts to compete with each other. And lastly, Little Garden is a world, that was created solely for the purpose of those powerful Gift bearers to enjoy and reside in."

(I already knew this.... I want to sleep...) Shiro thought as she started feeling drowsy.

Kuro Usagi emphasized the appeal of Little Garden.

Kasukabe Yō held her hand up

"Gift Games?"

"In the Gift Games, you will use those blessings and sometimes put them at stake in a competitive game. The Little Garden was created for such games!"

Asuka also raised her hand indicating that she also had a question.

"Do we have to put our abilities at stake?"

"Not necessarily. You can wager various things, such as your Gifts, money, property, privileges, honor or people. The greater your stake, the greater your prize. However, in order to earn those prizes, you must meet the conditions that the hosts present and win the Game" Kuro Usagi replied and started to explain the rules in the Little Garden.

A few moments later of explaining the rules in the world of Little Garden. Kuro Usagi snapped her fingers as deck of cards appeared in her hand.

"What?" Izayoi asked in confusion as Kuro Usagi just started shuffling the cards.

"This world has things called "Communities." Also known as societies, cliques, groups. All residents of this world must belong to a Community. Rather, simply surviving is impossible withouat a community.

Kuro Usagi explained while shuffling the cards in her hands. After shuffling enough Kuro Usagi snapped her fingers agan and a table appeared out of nowhere.

"I wouldn't mind inviting you to my community, but I need to know that you can win these gift games. You would be useless otherwise. You'd be nothing but a burden. We'd be better without you." Kuro Usagi said with a smug face, while Shiho was staring at her with a glint on her eyes.

"So you're gonna test us right?" Izayoi said with a smirk and Shiho just let out a small laugh as she knew where this is going to.

"Wait a second! We haven't agreed to anything!"Asuka said to Kuro Usagi.

"Feel free to decline if you don't think you stand a chance." She replied with a smug face on while inwardly thinking,(What have I just said to them?! I'll be in big trouble if I tick these people off or let them retire!)

"That was quite the taunt." Shiho muttered while whistling again.

"She at least tried." Izayoi added with a grin.

"I'm glad you liked it." Kuro Usagi replied with a small smile while the other two transferees just stared at them blankly.

"What are the rules of the game?" After a few seconds of silence, Izayoi asked while staring at the cards in Kuro Usagi's hands.

"We will use these cards. Please pick a face card from these 52 cards. However, you only have one chance. Only one draw per person." Kuro Usagi replied.

"Are we allowed to use any means necessary?"Asuka asked for affirmation with her arms crossed over her small-sized chest.

"As long as you follow the rules. Just to let you know, I have the privileges of a Judge Master so you cannot bend the rules. My rabbit's eyes and ears are linked to the Little Garden's hub."

"What's the wager? Do we bet our 'Gifts'?" Izayoi asked again.

"Because you are new to The Little Garden, you do not have to wager anything. I suppose this Game does put your pride at stake though."

"Oh?" Izayoi muttered at the statement of Kuro Usagi.

"What do we get if we win?" Yō asked.

"Let's see..." Muttered by Kuro Usagi and started to think as her bunny ears started twitching

"I, Black Rabbit, servant of the gods, will follow one of your orders!" She replied with a determined face.

"Really? Anything?" Shiho and Izayoi said at the same time while staring at different parts of the Demi-human's body. Shiho was staring at Kuro Usagi's bunny ears, while Izayoi is staring at her chest.

"N-nothing sexual!" Kuro Usagi panicked and said in a hurry while covering herself.

"I just want to touch your ears again though..." Shiho muttered with a depressed aura as Izayoi patted her back while Asuka and Yō glared at Izayoi with blank faces.

"I have no idea what you are saying." Izayoi shrugged with a smile while ignoring the blank look of Asuka and Yō.

"So, what are we going to do?"Izayoi asked the three.

"What do you think, Kusakabe-san?"Asuka asked Yō

"Let's do it." Yō nodded and said these words while looking at the calico cat on her lap. The said cat yawned on her lap.

"Well as long as it is fun, then I'm in! Iza-nii, I'm counting on you okay!" Shiho said with a grin on her face and Izayoi nodded his head with his usual smirk plastered on his face. (Well, this will be easy...) Shiho inwardly thought and chuckled to herself.

"The game is on!" after Kuro Usagi said these words, a scroll appeared in the sky with some words in it.

"What's that?"Asuka asked while looking at the scroll.

"This is a Geas Roll. It is a contract for participating in a Game."Kuro Usagi explained as Izayoi took the scroll and the other three looked from the side.

The four of them read the scroll carefully and thoroughly. They didn't want to lose by accident after all(except for Shiro as she knows what will happen later.)

After understanding the rules of the game, all four of them looked at Kuro Usagi.

"Okay, got it. But first, let me inspect those cards." Izayoi said as Kuro Usagi nodded her head as she started gathering the cards into her hand and gave them to Izayoi. He shared the cards with others so they could inspect them too.

Izayoi just looked at the cards in his hands. Asuka scratched the backside of one of the face cards. Yō used her cat's saliva to mark one of the face cards. And Shiho marked one with her flame.

After inspecting the cards Kuro Usagi made a beginning pose and shouted.

"Now, let us begin!"

All four of them stared at each other until Izayoi stepped in.

"I'll go first then."

(Shiro's POV)

Izayoi stared at the cards from right to left, There was a silence for a while, Kuro Usagi was restless until Izayoi started to speak.

"Thanks for the beautiful taunt earlier." Kuro Usagi was surprised but replied,"N-no, you're welcome."

Izayoi raised his hand while saying, "I'll take this!"

He shouted and slammed his hand on the table making all the cards fly up and turn around in the air. Kuro Usagi was dumbfounded by his actions as she stared at the table with a blank face.

"I'll take this then!" Ignoring the stunned Kuro Usagi, I took a face card from the table.

"I'll take this then." Asuka said as she walked towards the table.

"I'll take this." Yō said as she also walked towards the table.

After the three of us took our face cards that we marked, as Kuro Usagi stepped in.

"H-hold on a second! That was-"

She got cut off by Izayoi who said, "I didn't break any rules. 'Draw a face card from the table. One draw per player.' Right?"

Kuro Usagi couldn't say anything back so she checked with her ears if it was violating the rules or not.

"The Little Garden's hub has approved. Asuka-san, Yō-san, and Shiho-san are victorious."

Kuro Usagi said while bending forward sadly.

"Nice!"Asuka exclaimed while high fiving me and Yō.

I chuckled at this when Kuro Usagi suddenly spoke, "B-but you haven't won yet, Izayoi-san!"

"Who do you think am I?" Izayoi said with a smirk on his face as he flipped the card he picked and it was king of clubs.

"H-how!?"Kuro Usagi said in surprise.

"I memorized..." Izayoi muttered as he stop for a moment.

"huh?"Kuro Usagi uttered in confusion.

"...all of the order of the cards. The card next to this is a nine of diamonds, a two of clubs and a jack of spades." Izayoi said while flipping the cards next to the king of clubs. Kuro Usagi was shocked and was speechless.

"Not bad, but you put my plan to waste."Asuka said.

"Yep." Yō nodded her head in agreement.

"Well, I already marked one of the cards though.." I muttered in fake disappointment, since I knew what will happen already.

"Well, sorry about that." He answered with a smirk on his face. Kuro Usagi was still sad and speechless until Izayoi sanapped her back to reality.

"Hey, Kuro Usagi."

"Ah, yes?!"

"I know it's sudden but you'll listen to one thing from me."Izayoi said with a glint on his eyes which I noticed.

"I told you, nothing sexual!" Kuro Usagi said while backing away a little and blushed.

"As much as I'm tempted to do so, I just want you to answer one question."

The three wondered what Izayoi is going to ask.

(This world will be fun in the early days but in the future well this world will be chaotic because of Azi Dahaka! I can win against him though.. But I'll be treated as Last embryo too since I am a Dragon... I'll show my true strength at the final battle) I thought as I watched him opening his mouth and asked,"Is this world... fun?"

Kuro Usagi smiled at his question.

"Yes. Only beings superior to ordinary humans can participate in the Gift Games. I can assure you that The Little Garden is far more exciting thatn the human world." She replied as Izayoi's smile widened.

"Heh. Iza-nii looks like this world will be good for you." I said with a smile, as he walked towards me again and ruffled my hair.

"Why do you keep doing that?!" I slapped his hand away again as I started fixing my hair as he just chuckled at me.

"I just like it my dear Imouto."He said with a grin as I just stared at him blankly before shrugging my shoulders.

"How about Homura, and Suzu?" I asked him which earned a surprised sound from him, before a smile appeared on his face and said, "They will be fine, Homura and Suzuka can take care of themselves. I'm sure of it"

Well, he's right about that. I mean, they managed to take care of themselves for five years in Last Embryo novel. So, I guess I do not need to worry about them.

"Yeah, I guess you're right!"
