Ch 88 – The Divine Chariot of God

(A Few Minutes Later)

Inside the hallway they were currently resting at, the quartet heard the loud cheers of the crowd outside and knew that the other sections are probably done with their events as the Dahsoo and Jinah patted Jinho in the back.

"Let's do this car boy," said Jinah with a teasing smile while Jinho just look at her with a blank stare.

"Ngh, let's go!" said Haerin as she took the lead while the trio followed her from behind and saw that some of their teachers are rapidly changing the stadium for the oncoming Cavalry Battle event where they will use their little secret weapon called a car.

After a while, the stadium was finally finished as a large piece of flat ground was made where Class 1A will compete along with Class 1B as they have already made their teams and some were quite formidable like the Plant girl from Class 1B teaming up with some strong students.

"But they're not a match for our dear little car boy, ain't that right Dahsoo," said Jinah while patting Jinho on the shoulder to further annoy him.

"Yep, our dear little car boy would be our unstoppable steed in this war," said Dahsoo with a teasing smile.

"Shut up! I only accepted the offer because you guys begged for me to do this, you know I could just sabotage us 4!" said Jinho as he gave a middle finger towards both Jinah and Dahsoo while Haerin just chuckled at the side.

"Shush, it's about to start already," said Dahsoo while putting his finger on Jin-ho's mouth to interrupt him while they heard the loud voice of Empress of Light from the mic.

"It seems like all students from Class 1A and Class 1B has now made their teams for the oncoming Cavalry Battle! A quick rundown for the rules of the game if anybody doesn't know, the students will each go into a group of four with one being the steed, one being the one to hold the headband which is their points, and the other two as support. If the riders fall to the ground, it will be a loss so the steed and rider should cooperate with each other to not let the others fall to the ground" explained Empress of Light about the simple event that is about to happen.

"And just like last year, the first place in terms of time from the last event will put on the 1 Million Point headband colored red as a little incentive," said Empress of Light as everyone turned their eyes towards him while he just wore a confident smile.

"You guys heard that?" said Dahsoo to his team.

"Mmm" nodded the trio as Empress of Light started to talk again.

"Now that everybody is on the same page! May the contestants go on stage so we can proceed with the event!" said Empress of Light as the contestants went towards the stage and started to ride on top of their respective "steeds" while Jinho still stayed as a human.

"Hey, you guys wanna do a fun little joke to rile up the crowd," said Dahsoo as both Jinah and Haerin floated on top of his electric constructs.

"What is it?" said Haerin.

"What if we …" said Dahsoo as he started to explain his fun little joke for the crowd.

"You sure about that? You know we could lose if we do that" said Jinho.

"Don't worry about it, Jinah can paddle us at sonic speeds to victory" said Dahsoo.

"If you say so," said Jinho as he weirdly still stayed as a human without donning on his car armor and soon, Empress of Light's voice was heard.

"Everybody ready!" shouted Empress of Light to the mic.

"Yeah!" shouted the contestants in response.

"Well then! Let's do this already!" shouted Empress of Light as an explosion of light appeared above them and soon, just as expected, all other students rush over towards them while Dahsoo did something shocking.

"You want this! Then go take it!" shouted Dahsoo as he took off his red headband and threw it towards the students with their focus now put towards the flying headband.

"You sure about this?" said Haerin in concern.

"It already happened, so might as well do it to the end," said Dahsoo with resolve.

"Well good luck to Jinah I guess," said Haerin as they waited there for a few minutes while the crowd became confused at what they were doing.

"What?" or "Why?" was heard from the crowd as the Pro Heroes who were watching became confused at their team's action.

They just stood there without a care in the world as if they had already given up from fighting while Empress of Light shouted in concern.

"The group of Dahsoo! Have you guys given up! There's only 20 seconds left!" said Empress of Light to the mic with Dahsoo responding to her call with a confusing response.

"10," said Dahsoo as the crowd became confused at what he said.

"9," said Dahsoo as he started counting down one by one while Jinho plop down on the ground with the crowd expecting the trio to fall to the ground but they just stayed floating in mid-air while Jinho started to get covered by a set of armor and…

"Wheels?" said Empress of Light in confusion as the crowd saw wheels sprout out of Jinho's shoulders and knees and soon, the figure of a car started to appear as electrical chains soon bounded Haerin to the car while pedals soon appeared below Jinah's feet as she sat on a metallic chair.

"3," said Dahsoo as a field of the elements soon covered their group while sparks appeared around Dahsoo's body, indicating that he was about to go sonic speeds.

"2," said Dahsoo as Jinah's leg muscles tensed up with her choke me mommy legs appearing through the fabric and rested her legs on the pedals.

"1," said Dahsoo while the car soon got covered by a yellow field while the other students ignored them and continued in their own little world, not noticing the "car" glowing in the distance.

"GO!" shouted Dahsoo and before the crowd could even comprehend what was happening, a yellow blitz just appeared all around the arena as everyone was just suddenly lying down on the ground without any serious injuries while the group of Dahsoo appeared in the middle with headbands dangling from Dahsoo's hand as Dahsoo wore with a smug smirk.

"W- winner! Team Kang Dahsoo!" shouted Empress of Light to the mic in shock at what just happened while the other teachers hastily went to plan out on how to proceed with the other events and how the scores will be calculated.

AN: Oh boy, I'm about to start writing the next arc today that will leave most of you befuddled at his plan, like why did he do this? Why did he do that? And that's not even the end because the most bullshit plot twist is at the end of this volume and you will see how much is kept in the dark even with this omniscient 3rd person POV.
