Naked - I

When the morning sun streaked into Kai's bedroom, the brightness of the lights stung sharply at his eyelid. Both of them, nearly blinding them.

"Aargh!" He screamed.

'What the hell did you do that for?' And who's-' Kai stopped his thoughts. Squinting his eyes slightly open, he saw her.

'What!' He mentally squealed from watching the culprit swing her hips about easily as if his angry shout just now had somehow birthed a melodious rhythm she was currently gyrating to; inside her head that is because Kai could not hear any distinct song playing in the background of his fat bedroom space.

Maddened by her silly pranks, Kai busted his eyes wide open and barely sat up on his bed.

"Mum!" He shouted and then scowled.

"Yes, sweetheart." Mrs. Chase said and continued her playful dancing while fondling the curtains she'd just pulled apart to allow the lights in.

"Why are you in my bedroom at this godforsaken hour?" Kai demanded. Was this her mission to put him through such unwholesome torture for her duration of stay here?

His mother flipped a turn and cast her peaceful eyes at the boy. "Calm down, my love. There's nothing godforsaken about this time of day?"

Kai grinded his teeth together.

Settling his nerves, he said. "Did Larry put you up to this?"

"Larry? No. Course not. I mean it's bright and early. You should be up already."

Kai puckered his lips tiredly now.

"Go away mum. I need to sleep some more." He said before sinking underneath the sheets.  He needed her out by now. For god's sake, sleep was important.

Ignoring his pleas, his mum began to sashay deliberately towards his bedpost. Her shoes clinking against the tiles presented her walk as rushed and frantic.

Kai could sense her footings grow increasingly closer to him but he simply pressed the pillow against his face and hoped for her to turn around.

What he didn't know was that Mrs. Chase was hellbent on being a major pain in his butt today. Okay, that's wrong. Kai already expected that she would. That was her behaviour toward him. Always has been. Always will be.

Once the slender bodied beauty reached the stand post of Kai's maxi bed, she mindlessly flew his duvet from off him leaving him and herself stuck by what she saw.

She gulped.

"Mum!!!" Kai barked at her for making him scram up to catch the fallen duvet.

He had grown into a handsome young man from how his mum could now get a glance of his almost naked body. His muscles were all in the right places and his abs were perfectly ripped.

She watched as the boy succeeded in grasping onto the duvet, swiftly clutching it over his completely unclad body. Wrong decision of going to bed without any clothing it seemed.

As Kai recovered his seat back on the bed, he could not avoid the feeling of embarrassment burning hot on his cheeks. How could he? He felt his privacy invaded and with her ogling at him like that, what in the world was she thinking?

"Well aren't you quite a shy pretty hummingbird."

"Stop it, mum! Just fricken stop!" He held his hand out to express his hurt.

"Oops"

"Why did you sneak into my private space anyway?"

'Now you've visualised everything truly private to me' Kai scoffed mentally. His anger boiling on his insides like a growing thunderstorm.

His mum had heard his every word but simply wore a pretty smile on her ageless face. Why? Because didn't she birth him after all? Why did he have to get so hostile simply because.

"I demand an apology mum for unwelcome invasion of privacy." Kai spat out at last.

But his mum's reply was a careless abandon of giggling childishly.

"Now what's so funny?" Kai asked.

Apparently, Mrs. Chase knew for a fact that the boy had every right to feel upset because of how her actions had caused her to see him like that.. vulnerable. But right now, he was being too dramatic with the way he was going on about it.

Kai began to feel a couple of things. Not so good emotions. Mostly rage.

"Mum, do you honestly need me to tell you how annoying you're being right now?"

The frown on his face was by now evident to the woman but she simply shuddered lightly at this.

"Stop with the drama, honey. Agreed. I did make a mistake but then."

"No mum, this is not about a mistake. This is about you tearing my nerves out. And on a scale of 1 to 10, I'd rate you a 100 for being like this."

"Like how?" She was still giggling so much that it ratted her son out.

But who wouldn't?

Kai's cheeks were painted a bright red colour now. He couldn't see his face but he could feel his cheeks heating up. He was feeling too embarrassed to even react. This had got to be the most awkward morning.

Ever.
