"How… what do you mean?" Kaiden started to feel an unpleasant aura envelop the room. It was a thick, suffocating blackness that reeked of death.

"Ever heard of being maimed before? Yes. That is what I intend to do to you. That brute of a father doesn't show it but you are his greatest pride and accomplishment. He must be in a lot of pain right now."

"Wait, me? The mayor's pride?"

"You are not dumb. Are you? Anyway, think about all I've said. You'd be needing a logical reason to convince your father to change his mind and give in to my demands.

"He doesn't know it, but he's doomed anyway. The best bad choice will possibly make his worthless life easy to deal with afterward."
