The next day I wake up with a strange feeling running across my body. A blood-pumping feeling.
'What? What's happening to my body?" I asked myself as I got up. 'Must be another one of those physical effects!' I thought.
My wife was sleeping beside me. It was already 8 in the morning. Yesterday was a very tiring day... So I expected everyone to sleep past 9.
Suddenly, I felt something coming up to my throat. I ran to the bathroom and when I got close enough to the sink, I threw up.
Cough! Cough! I coughed out blood.
It was like my head had blown into pieces. I was having the worst headache ever.
'What's happening....' I couldn't even stand straight. I washed the blood down the sink and wiped my mouth from a tissue.
If Akira woke up, she would've been worried sick!
I didn't have any idea of what I should do. I just came out of the bathroom and went to drink water. I was feeling more thirsty than ever.
'Water... I need water....'
I hurried to the kitchen and emptied two bottles of water down my system. For some reason, that was the most chilling feeling I've ever got.
"Man... What the fuck is happening! I need to... I need the help of someone who knows about mutations!"
I walked to the couch and laid back on it. The couch was nice and comfortable.
The headache was getting worse. And before I knew it, I was out cold.

"Tsuji... Tsujii... Do you hear me? Did the Rings come! Come with us! Raven—"
Over and over again. The voices were echoing in my head. "Wha—"
"Tsu! Tsu wake up!"
Finally, the most familiar voice. It was Akira. "Tsu... What happened. Why did you pass out? Is something wrong?"
I had passed out on the couch. She helped me lift my head. "What happened Tsu? After that attack... You looked so bleak..."
I smiled bitterly at her. She was staring at me with those sparkling eyes.
Then, I remembered the decision I wanted to take. 'Will I tell her about this? She would be dragged into this mess too, then... Of course... I didn't want that to happen.'
She stayed close to me, waiting for my answer. I looked at her. I couldn't lie to my wife. But... It was for her good.
"I... It must've been because... Yesterday was a very tiring day. That's it I guess. I just wanted to get some rest."
She smiled and kissed me on the forehead. "Well get some rest, Senpai."
It felt bad to lie to her. She stood up and walked away. I lied down and wondered what to do next.
'There was blood... Luckily, Akira hasn't seen the tissue in the bathroom. If she had, she wouldn't have stopped until she got the truth out of me. Before anything big happens... I need to find a solution for this. And before that... I need to find... Someone who knows about this.'
Who were the ones who knew mutants better than me? Rings weren't an option. And the local infirmaries either. The Rings worked for the government and so did the doctors and scientists in infirmaries.

So there was clearly only one option left. It was contacting the Reapers. I didn't know if I could trust them completely... But the way that girl acted. I had a doubt.

I rested all morning and I was ready to go out into the streets. Akira and Mitsu left the apartment to get to the public library. I was finally alone.
"Should I use it or not..." I asked myself, looking at the device that girl gave me. 'Man... I have a real bad feeling about this.'
I kept the device hidden in my wallet. It was that small. That was the only place I could think of to keep it, cause not many people came to check my wallet.
I held the device in my hand and took a good look at it. There is a button to press to give them the signal.
But still... I couldn't let the Reapers know where I lived.
'Now... The best decision is to signal the Reapers from a place far away from here. "The Blue Lotus."
Yes... That's the best option.
It was a popular tower in Akinoshita. I could move there to signal them. They won't come with weapons... Either armor. It was a public place. That was clearly the best thing to do.

I got off from the taxi in front of the Blue Lotus. The place was crowded. As I expected.

There were lights all around the Blue Lotus. Some stage lights were focused on the sky. It almost looked like the new year.
It reminded me of the time we came here on Mitsu's second birthday. She was born right at the time where the New Year began. We missed the party that year... But we got something far more valuable than that.
I seated myself on one of the empty tables.
Then, I took the device from my wallet.
Sigh... Should I really do this?
Once more... I asked myself. Cough! Suddenly, I coughed out more blood right into the table. Some people stared at me, and a wave of whispers went by.
That's it... I'm doing it. I pressed the button. Ding! A slightly loud sound came.
My heart skipped a beat. Now... I was getting in contact with a terrorist. I was breaking the law. There was no way I could escape the consequences now.
I waited... Waited till the reply came. Anytime now... A terrorist would sit with me at the table. I took a deep breath and calmed down.
