"You're doing this for that girl, aren't you?" the question came from behind just as Romulus was about to undress.

"You do know breaking into the king's quarters is punishable by death even for you, General Alaska," Romulus said without even looking back. 

He then slipped off his coat before turning back to meet the general with his signature scowl. He knew that look, he was calculating as usual.

"You shouldn't add her to the list of selected candidates, not unless you want to set off a chain of events you might not be able to control in the end," Alaska told him.
