A Pang Of Pain

"Oof!"

Dahlia and Romulus landed in the middle of a forest, the breath knocked out of her lungs. Where the hell was this place? She had no clues about where they were. However, one thing was for sure, Dahlia was relieved that she had escaped the witches. That was a nightmare she wouldn't want to feel ever again.

But that relief didn't last for long because she discovered that Romulus was lying on top of her. No wonder she felt like she couldn't breathe. It was because he was as heavy as a sack of rice.

Sadly, it wasn't funny. Romulus had fallen asleep on her body and he weighed like a corpse, she couldn't push him off her. So with a great grunt, Dahlia simply rolled him to the side as if she was tossing away dirt. Except that Romulus was not dirt, but the man, no, vampire, who saved her life. She owned him one now.

"Hey," Dahlia shook him, but to her surprise, the vampire didn't stir and she frowned.
