A week after I returned from school to the fawning of my parents wanting to know everything that happened to me while I was away, Tobi came to visit with a box containing a pair of shiny silver full-stop earrings and my favorite brand of chocolates which had fruits and nuts embedded inside.

Seeing him again was a rush of emotions I didn't even know I could feel all at once.
