The smell of rain and freshly-cut grass hit my nostrils as the driver drove into the University campus.
I loved the smell, how cool the weather was whenever the rain graced the atmosphere. However, the reverse was the case for the freshly cut grass.
Covering my nose with a bandana to ward off the smell of the grass, I fingered the necklace Tobi had gifted me, my heart and mind in conflict, never agreeing on what they wanted.
My heart wasn't in this university, it was back home, reclining on Tobi's couch, cooking up plans to frustrate and amuse him at the same time.
However, my mind wanted to be in school, to achieve the goals I had set for myself since I was in primary school.
Both were in constant fights with each other with no winner in sight.
None of my roommates had returned yet, so I was going to be the only person in the room but thankfully, not the only one in the entire hostel.
