Surprise!

With trepidation guiding my steps in case it was the latter, I opened the door. 

Standing in my doorway was the last person I had expected to see. 

"What are you doing here?" I asked as my mouth fell open in surprise.

When Tobi had asked me for directions on how to get to Abia state from Lagos state, I was very curious but decided to wave it off when he refused to tell me the reason why. 

I didn't put two and two together because what were the odds of him coming to visit?

I had no reason to think or have hopes that he would show up at my school solely to celebrate my birthday with me. 

So, my shock when I saw him standing at my doorway with a bouquet in his hands, and a big smile on his face, was valid. 

"How come you're here? Is that why you were asking for directions to come here? I thought you had a business partner here or something," I rambled on.
