The weak one, the ugly one, and the monster

The two groups of disciples walked together towards Tianlong City. On the way, they faced some mountain bandits but those were nothing more than a competitive thing for Li Tian And Little Shadow.

At the gates of Tianlong city, they chose different roads and they gave each other respect.

" You are not a failure. But they call you weak. The only one." said Little shadow then gave a sword to Li Tian. "This is the best sword my guild has. We found it in some ruins and it is said, it would be activated only in the hands of a true swordmaster. Please accept it."

"Because you are giving it with your heart then I probably should accept it. See you in the academy Little Shadow."

" See you!"

Both groups went on different roads towards the Academy.

Tianlong city was a small city in the mountains referred to as the natural border between two great empires of mid-Continental territories.

It had around five hundred thousand people. And just one per cent of them stood at the top of the city. And meanwhile, the group of disciples led by Li Tian faced another group led by the city lord daughter. Those two groups always had an unspoken beef between each other.

" Oh, the trash of Li sect!" said one of the city mansion disciples. The princes smiled. " I heard someone who failed to awaken even a grade one martial spirit is leading this group."

After those words were said by one of them, the others smiled trying to be as much of a bully they could be.

" I don't need to awaken a martial spirit to beat the shit out of anyone between you, including the princess. And then the city lord will beg me to marry his daughter."

" You?! How you dare?! I will ask Little Shadow to take care of you. He is worthy of me not someone ugly like you."

" So I'm weak, and now I'm ugly?! What I will be next? I don't know but for sure something Little Shadow couldn't take care of."

" You bastard, be careful! Don't you know who are you talking with!"

" I most certainly know, but I don't care."

" You..you..! Let's go! We don't have time to lose for failures."

The other group of disciples passed by leaving only hatred for the Li sect group.

The city martial academy was in the centre of the city. It had some acres of territory and also had the city arena inside its territory. The city arena was used for events and most of the city events were organised from the martial academy.

And at that moment in the city arena was going for a bit the acceptance event. Where the academy was going to accept disciples all over the city. And all the big factions sent their disciples to compete. But it was not a hard competition. For how long you could awaken your martial spirit, you could be a student of Tianlong martial academy.

And in the arena were a lot of spheres who could show who had awakened a martial spirit. Their grade and their usefulness.

A lot of groups were headed there and so was Li Tian's group.

And finally was their time.

First, it was Li Tian time. All the powerhouses of the city were there, Watching.

The sun rays were hitting Li Tian eyebrows and he couldn't watch all the people in the arena. And for this thing, he stood calm. He added his hand in the sphere and the sphere started shining but it went a bit and then stopped shining. That sphere got crashed. The whole arena started pinpointing toward the Li Tian.

" So it was true that in the Li sect there was a trash."

" So it was this guy who clashed before with the princess. This guy was trash."

And the bad mouths kept going like that for a bit. It was City lord that descended in the arena to kill the guy who humiliated his daughter. But in the matter of the second, a group of talented people formed a human shield protecting Li Tian.

The first line of humans was the Li Tian group with the lead of Li Feng and Qin Dong. After that Was the shadow assassin group with the lead of Little shadow. Then it was the second elder and the Patriarch of the Mu family. Later, the Li sect grand elder was considered a menace to the community. After him giving a killing aura the city lord directly stopped.

" What is going on. This failure dared to offend my daughter and you all are stepping in to protect him? What is going on with you all?"

" He is my brother and I'm not stepping back even if I have to die!" said Li Feng. This triggered Grand elder.

" City lord needs to understand that they are just young ones. And the matter between young ones has to stand in the hands of the young ones. Don't you think so?"

" Is this brat so necessary for the Li sect? He even is a failure. And he can't enter the Academy."

" It doesn't matter. He is our disciple and so we need to protect him." said the second elder.

" So your daughter has the right to offend me and I don't have the right to offend her back? So you are saying that just because she is your daughter?"

" How dares a brat speak like that with me?"

" You are a bastard of a city lord who is even capable of selling his daughter for power and now you are using the fact that I have trouble awakening my martial spirit to try and kill me. But let me challenge you right now and here. You and all you others who hate me. One year, one year and I will not only come stronger but I will be strong enough not only to win the Academy competition but I will be the strongest one around all the empire. Dare you to accept my challenge?"

" You are just a frog in a well who don't know how big the ocean is. And you dare to challenge me?"

" Then accept my challenge. And I declare here and now that the Li sect will not be part of the City academy. we will create our academy."

( This bastard dares to speak on our sect name. But the sect leader told me to protect him at all costs. Now I need to offend the city lord and do what this idiot brat says.)

" It is true city lord, I'm here to tell everyone that we, Li sect will build its an academy and manage with its resource. We sent the group her to tell to everyone that in the yearly challenge one year after today we will participate with this group. And some others that are still cultivating." said the Li sect grand elder.

That was something you could barely see. A scene where a brat who couldn't awaken his martial spirit offended the city lord and challenged him and all his crew in a year time. And again he achieved to leave that place without a scratch.

In that scene were people who saw him like a total idiot and from the other side some people saw him as a total monster.
