"You mean the one that we were on when you and Morgan…" Jax starts to say before he closes his mouth and looks at Ami, who simply shrugs. "Well, it isn't exactly classified, so sure, why not? Ask away, Wendell Dumein," he says lightly. So you ask them what happened on the mission exactly, right down to the gory details. "Seriously?" Jax gives you a sneaky grin. "It gets quite gory, you know, especially once Ami went all out."

Point taken. You decide to ask them to give you the brief details, then. "Let's see; we went to fight the pirates, but they seemed to be expecting us, weirdly enough, even though the whole operation was conducted in secret and last minute, too," Jax frowns at the implications of this matter and Ami interjects at this point: "So yeah. There we were making our move on them like we were going to own them, when suddenly we find ourselves surrounded on all sides by pirates armed with assault rifles and machine guns. Man, we looked like idiots at that point," she laughs. You tell her that she's taking the whole situation rather well, your tone a little dry.

She laughs and says, "Well…yeah, it was tense then, but now that I'm out here and alive? It's pretty fun in hindsight. All of us braced for taking out the target quickly, but the tables turned on us since we found ourselves surrounded by the prey. I'm telling you, it really was exhi—"

"Damn terrifying, if you ask me," Jax says shaking his head. "Can't you think of the implications, hon, or are you too focused on how excited you were at the time?"

She grins and purrs at him. "You enjoyed it that night, didn't you?"

He opens his mouth to counter her words but closes it immediately. "Damn it," he swears under his breath.

She grins again and glances back at you. "So yeah, we were surrounded, but we fought them back and even captured a few of them. Hauled them back as prisoners of war, and I think intelligence is grilling them hard right now," she continues.

That's interesting to know, you think to yourself as Jax looks at you. "Anything else? Please don't talk shop again," he adds as a last-minute thought.
