The Major's face remains grim as she says, "It's a pity about the loss of the artifact, but given the video evidence from your suit's camera, the board decided that you were significantly overpowered in your last confrontation with the enemy, and you have been absolved from any blame for the loss of the artifact." She looks at you one last time before turning around and saying, "Still, I am glad that you're around and not MIA like your teammate." She turns back to face you.
"Also, we'd like you to know that we're doing our best to find out what happened to your MIA teammate. Our analysis of the recordings taken from your suit tells us that she was most likely ambushed by other enemies while attempting to bind her injuries, but that's all we can tell. The train's own internal cameras were damaged during the trip, and it's taking the technicians time to repair them, so we're waiting for that," she says loudly, talking as if her previous words were nothing more than a figment of your imagination.
"Any questions, soldier?" she asks you, looking at you expectantly, waiting for you to pile her with any questions that you might have.
