You make as if you're going to charge at the Beast, and it reacts appropriately, lunging at you. Instead, you channel a bit of magic into your hammer-axe before you swing it into its midriff, cutting through it easily. It howls in pain and darts away from you, glaring at you evilly. You gesture at it to come for you and it does so almost immediately, running at you instead of jumping this time. It collides into you, knocking you to the ground, but you manage to get the better of it, pinning it to the ground before you start striking it in the head with your hammer-axe.

After a short while, you feel something pressing against your torso before the Fiend shoves you off its body with its feet. You flip through the air and land on your feet with a heavy crunch, nearly splitting the pier and falling through it. This gives you an idea and you gingerly step away from the spot where you landed, gesturing at the Beast to come and get you. It snarls angrily and does so, pouncing at you with its jaws slavering.

You hold up your hand, quickly generating a barrier that stops it from reaching you, and before it can react, you wrap the barrier around it, trapping it within. As it struggles to break free, you head over to the weakened floor and use a bolt of power to shatter it. Then you draw the Beast over the hole and plunge it down into the water below. For a moment, you wait, watching to see if it'll resurface again, certain that Fiends are not able to swim, but they also do not appear to need to breathe at all.

But it doesn't, and you let out a sight of relief and turn your eyes back to the other fight, ready to head back if your help is needed.

It looks like the other fight is moving along in your favor, as well.
