Deftly, you take aim and open fire on the flickering image in front of you. Your shots hit something, you know that, but whatever it is that was struck seems to be able to withstand your shots, and you see something whirl around to face you. Whatever it is, it's human in height, at least, slightly taller than you are, and you think you see it raise its hand up to take aim at you. You curse sharply and dive for cover.

A blast of shadowy power slams into the ground where you were standing a second before you moved for cover. You pause for a moment to stare at the figure, whom you can now see is shrouded in shadows, despite the light. She (there's something about the way she moves that makes you peg her as a she) throws another bolt of power at you while you're still surprised, and you quickly duck underneath it, diving towards cover again.

Behind her, you can hear Altug swearing intensely as she moves away from the shrouded figure. "Shit!" you hear her say a second before the sound of an explosion reaches your ears. You look out and see that Altug is still all right, though the door to her office has been destroyed and the figure's back is facing you. You take this chance and open fire on the figure, but the shadows that surround her absorb your shots, swallowing them like rocks being tossed into a pool.

Still, your shots do distract the figure, and she turns around to face you. Altug takes this chance and opens fire on the figure with her shotgun. The figure staggers forward from the shot, and you take this chance, rushing out from cover and swinging your fist at her face. Fortune favors you; the shadows yield to your fist, and it connects with her face. You follow up by punching her a few more times until the shadows fade from her face, revealing her identity to you.

As she turns to face you once more, your jaw drops at the sight, and you almost forget to defend yourself as she swings her fist at you. You barely manage to avoid the punch and she sweeps your feet, knocking you prone instead. One word races through your mind as you stare at the ceiling in shock. Morgan.
